Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Mom hadn’t expected me to refuse. She opened her mouth, planning to keep talking it over with me. “An’an, be good. Mommy is going for work…”
I suddenly wrapped my arms around her leg, then looked up at her with red eyes. “Mommy, help me ask for leave. Take me with you on your business trip. I’ll be good and listen, okay?”
“An’an,” Mom said, touching my cheek, “why are you so upset? Mommy will be back in a few days. You need to be good and go to kindergarten.”
“I don’t want to!” I refused again. “I already know everything the kindergarten teachers teach. Take me with you, Mommy. Please…”
Mom couldn’t stand it when I acted spoiled.
Her eyes sparkled, like she’d been charmed by how cute her own daughter was.
She agonized over it for a long time, but in the end, she gave in with no principles whatsoever and called my kindergarten teacher to ask for leave.
She stressed to me, “An’an, once we’re out, you have to listen to Mommy, okay? When Mommy is working, you absolutely mustn’t run around.”
I nodded hard.
So Mom took me out with her.
It was my first time going to another city. Because Mom was very busy, most of the time she hired an auntie to look after me.
On the way to the other city, bullet comments scrolled across my vision:
[Little Xiao Bao is going on a business trip with her mom. If only she could find her dad and the three of them could be reunited as a family.]
[Exactly! They obviously love each other deeply, but neither of them will say anything. I seriously wish I could jump in there and ask them just how important their pride is. Is it really more important than being torn apart?]
[Isn’t the company the heroine is visiting on this business trip right next to Qin Corporation? They clearly have a chance to meet again!]
[Wuwuwu, I really want the male lead to know the heroine gave birth to his daughter!]
Find Dad?
I knew the kids in kindergarten all had dads. Mom said my dad was very far away, so I thought he was dead. Turns out he wasn’t.
It didn’t matter if I didn’t have a dad.
But those bullet comments said Mom had worked very hard to raise me, so Dad should help raise his child too!
I decided to go find Dad.
They wouldn’t use their mouths, but I would!
“Mommy, what does my dad look like?” It was the first time I’d ever asked Mom that question.
Mom’s expression froze. Her smile faded, and there were emotions in her eyes I couldn’t understand. She asked, “Why are you suddenly asking about that, An’an?”
“I want to know.”
Then, a long time later, Mom said softly, “Your dad is very handsome. His temper is just a little bad.”
That was pretty bad.
Even someone as gentle as Mom couldn’t stand him.
But bad temper or not, he still had to help raise his child!

I Saved My Parents’ Love with Bullet Comments
I’m the daughter of the heroine in an angsty novel.
When I was four, I finally understood those strange bullet comments:
