Because Sun Jiayi was pregnant, she came back after toasting only a few tables.
The rest was left to Li Yonghao to handle.
She had just sat down when I picked up a piece of braised pork.
Before my chopsticks could reach my mouth, my mother-in-law smacked them down with her own.
“Eat, eat, eat. Were you a starving ghost in your past life?”
She glared at me irritably.
“Can’t you see there’s a pregnant woman at this table?”
She snatched the plate of meat from in front of me and piled it all into Sun Jiayi’s bowl until it was heaped high.
Then she turned around with a completely different expression, smiling so wide her face looked like a blooming chrysanthemum.
“Jiayi, eat more. Don’t let my precious grandson go hungry.”
Sun Jiayi raised her brows at me, the corners of her mouth curling up smugly.
She lowered her head and ate in dainty little bites.
As she ate…
“Mm…”
She suddenly let out a coy little sound.
Several people at the table looked up at her at the same time.
Sun Jiayi’s face instantly flushed all the way to her ears.
She gave an awkward smile.
“This braised pork is just too good. I couldn’t help… sighing over it.”
Everyone gave an “oh” and went back to eating and drinking. No one thought much of it.
Only I saw it.
The fingers wrapped around her chopsticks were trembling.
She shifted uneasily in her seat.
Then shifted again.
As if she were desperately holding something back.
Slowly, her face grew redder and redder.
She bit her lower lip hard, her chest rising and falling faster and faster.
And the hem of her dress was swaying in a steady rhythm.
Another five minutes passed.
I faintly heard a buzzing sound.
It was very soft.
But my hearing had always been sharper than most people’s, and I had been watching Sun Jiayi’s every move.
Naturally, I knew the sound was coming from her.
I quietly opened my phone.
Sure enough, the remote-control interface showed that the little toy for women had been turned on.
Sun Jiayi picked up her own phone, lowered her head, and quickly tapped the screen a few times.
Then she secretly reached down and pinched a certain spot through the thick layer of her skirt.
A faint rustling came from beneath the fabric.
As if something was moving, adjusting its angle.
She tapped her phone again.
The swaying of her skirt became even more obvious.
At that moment, my phone showed that the men’s one had been turned on too.
Just like that, the two of them started playing around right in front of everyone.
Sun Jiayi looked up at me from time to time.
A smile hung at the corner of her mouth, and her eyes were full of provocation.
I didn’t look at her.
