Chapter 5

Chen Heng has been giving me intensive tutoring lately.

He started right off with the “sea of problems” tactic.

*One Thousand Kink Questions*, *Dual Cultivation Past Exam Papers*, and *Eight Mock Exams on Push-and-Pull*.

I cried through every single one of them.

These questions are seriously hard.

Take this matching question, for example.

The left column lists: BG, BL, GL, GB.

The right column lists: i, ii, iii, iiii.

I was completely dumbfounded.

“Senior Brother, I can’t do this. Is this some kind of Mathematical Olympiad?”

Chen Heng came over and took a single look. “Isn’t this just a freebie?”

He hadn’t expected my foundation to be this poor.

Then, he hauled a massive pile of books back from the library.

“Holy crap, Senior Brother, these are all forbidden books from the Heartless Path…”

Chen Heng shoved them into my arms. “These are the textbooks for our major.”

No wonder we used to always lose to the Joyful Union Sect.

I looked at the books, then back at Chen Heng.

He was the top student in the Joyful Union Sect.

He should be the epitome of “refined grace and scholarly elegance.”

“Senior Brother, how do you do it? You’ve read so many of these books, yet you still look so… clean?”

Flustered by the compliment, Chen Heng looked away slightly, his gaze falling on my hand.

“Little Junior Sister, you’re touching my face. Have you had enough yet?”

I withdrew my hand and rested my chin on my palm, staring at him with a grin.

“Senior Brother, I’ve finished all the problems. Can you teach me some practical application?”

Chen Heng stared back at me, one eyebrow slightly raised, his thin lips parting. “Then, Junior Sister, how exactly do you want to practice?”

I took the initiative to lean in closer, tilting his chin up.

“Senior Brother, want to do a full-scale simulation together?”

Chen Heng used his eyes to signal for me to look outside.

I glanced over casually.

Yun Shen was standing at the door, his face dark with fury.

“Junior Brother Yun Shen, when did you get here?”

He closed his eyes coldly and, with a wave of his hand, summoned his longsword.

“Senior Sister, this strike is called…” He snapped his eyes open, his voice icy and deep. “‘I’ll teach you to lie to me!'”

Holy crap, he’s using his ultimate move the moment we meet.

I raised my sword to parry.

“Junior Brother, calm down! Listen to my explanation…”

Yun Shen lunged forward, his sword intent growing even more intense.

“What else is there to explain?”

Chen Heng stood by with his hands in his sleeves, sitting on the daybed and flipping through a book.

“Little Junior Sister, flirting with your Senior Brother never ends well.”

Under the reverse-tutoring of my Eldest Senior Brother, the difficulty of my graduation project skyrocketed to hell-mode.

Yun Shen believed I was two-timing him.

He chased me for three days and three nights, trying to kill me.

Fortunately, my combat power was higher than his.

“Senior Brother, is it because you can’t graduate yourself that you don’t want me to graduate either?”

I was truly speechless.

The background section of my thesis proposal had to be completely rewritten again.

The hand holding the mouse was suddenly covered by a hand with jade-like knuckles.

I froze for a moment.

Could it be that my attempt to dose him with Passion Powder finally succeeded?

Chen Heng leaned in from behind me, lowering his head to my ear. His voice carried a seductive lilt:

“Junior Sister, do you truly like me?”

I slowly turned my head to look at him.

Chen Heng was gazing at me tenderly, his features handsome and refined, his lips red and teeth white.

He was dressed very lightly today.

Was he wearing his “battle robes” again?

I swallowed hard. “It’s just average. What are you getting at?”

Chen Heng’s thin lips curled into a slight smirk as he pinched my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze.

“Junior Sister, you like me. Look, I made Junior Brother Yun Shen storm off in a rage, and you didn’t even blame me.”

Every gesture of Senior Brother Chen Heng carried its own charm.

After spending so much time together daily, it was easy to have one’s soul inadvertently hooked by him.

He leaned in closer, his fingertips tracing along the side of my face, slowly sliding past my chin to rest on my neck.

His other hand stopped at the sash around my waist.

“Junior Sister, look at me. Do you want me to stay with you?”

He teased me until my throat felt parched and my body went numb; my heart had long since spun out of control.

“Senior Brother, I do. I’ll do whatever you want.”

He pulled my waist tight against him, his fingertip pressing against my lips in an incredibly ambiguous gesture.

“Qing Hong, as long as you switch back to the Heartless Path, I will be your Dao companion.”

I blinked, let out a scoff, and pushed him away heartlessly.

“Senior Brother, I’m your direct junior sister. Have you gone mad wanting to graduate?”

“Is it a crime that I don’t want my graduation delayed? Why is it that everyone else can graduate, but I can’t?”

Chen Heng sulked for several days.

Later, the news of his failed attempt to seduce me somehow leaked out.

The Senior Sisters of the Joyful Union Sect all came over to get the gossip.

I told the story over and over again, naturally beautifying my own image a bit.

They were all very envious of me.

Because Chen Heng was a once-in-a-century genius of the Joyful Union Sect; from undergraduate to postgraduate, he had scored full marks in every single course.

I didn’t understand at first-I had been a top student in the Heartless Path, and I was never this popular.

One Senior Sister emphasized it for me.

“Senior Brother’s practical simulations… he got full marks in every category.”

Ah, that… I hissed through my teeth.

She wiggled her eyebrows frantically at me.

“That’s a level of skill recognized even by the machines.”

She also filled me in on an important setting.

In the Joyful Union Sect, sleeping with Eldest Senior Brother Chen Heng was the dream of everyone, regardless of gender.

“Wait, isn’t internal consumption forbidden by the sect?”

“Exactly. Interaction between disciples of the same rank results in expulsion. But-and here’s the kicker-for interactions between different ranks, only the superior is expelled. Moreover, if you can successfully entice the Eldest Senior Brother into making a mistake, you can even graduate early!”
