The Ailao Mountains were incredibly steep, covered in dense forests and crisscrossed by deep ravines. The geographical environment was so complex that even the production crew was at a loss upon arrival. Accompanied by local forest rangers, they could only set up base camp on the outermost edge of the range.
By the time we arrived, the camp was already quite substantial.
A ring of tents surrounded the foot of the mountain, with a long row of tables set up in the center. The tables were adorned with fresh flowers and fine tableware, while over a dozen cameras-fitted with long and short lenses-were pointed directly at them.
“Dear viewers, to ensure the authenticity of the show, this program is being broadcast entirely via live stream. Welcome to the room!”
A host introduced the show enthusiastically to the camera. He explained that the celebrities would each choose a Feng Shui master and split into two groups for a competition. The two sides would operate separately, and viewers could choose to watch a specific group’s dedicated stream. The group with the higher popularity would receive an extra reward from the production team.
The first segment of the show was the self-introductions of all the guests.
Several celebrities were already seated around the table. When it was my turn, everyone looked at me with a mix of curiosity and surprise, assuming I was an assistant brought along by Zhao Sisi.
“Hello, everyone. I am Qiao Moyu, a Feng Shui master.”
The Bullet Comments exploded instantly.
“What? She’s that mysterious Feng Shui master? Is this a joke? Is she even eighteen yet?”
“I suspect Zhao Sisi isn’t the one who bought her way onto the show-this girl is! What a bold persona to create. A ‘Beautiful Young Feng Shui Master’ using this as a gimmick to debut. The hype is real.”
The popularity of the live stream skyrocketed. The director looked on with delight; hiring this young Feng Shui master had been the right move. He could definitely milk her for trending topics later.
Among the celebrity guests was an older award-winning actress, Sister Bai, who was famous for her bold, straightforward, and outspoken personality. She sized me up with disdain and let out a cold snort.
“Director, I don’t want to be in her group later. With this kind of fake Feng Shui master, if something actually happens, we won’t even know how she ended up getting us killed.”
As soon as she spoke, everyone looked at me awkwardly. I simply smiled. Just as I was about to speak, a burst of enthusiastic applause erupted nearby.
“Please welcome our final guest, the Feng Shui master from Hong Kong-Chen Zhen!”
“Many viewers might not be familiar with Master Chen, but Sister Bai certainly is. Back then, the Feng Shui layout of Sister Bai’s luxury villa in Hong Kong was personally arranged by Master Chen. Sister Bai, why don’t you introduce Master Chen to us?”
