Chen Ling had originally come to Nanjiang City for the May Day holiday trip, but she never expected such a horrible thing to happen. After I rested for a day, she insisted on not staying here any longer and wanted to hurry back to Fengcheng.

Sitting on the high-speed train, the elderly folks around us were all talking about the recently solved case of the abduction of young girls in Nanjiang City.

The Dragon Token on my chest began to heat up.

I knew someone was probably unhappy, so I just reached up and rubbed the Dragon Token with my index finger, then looked up at Jiang Shaotian.

He hurriedly collected himself, stood up, and shouted toward the back.

“Keep it down, we’re trying to sleep here!”

The elderly women paused, then immediately redirected their fire.

The high-speed train stopped and started, and I slept groggily the whole way.

Since it was the last day of the May Day holiday, many office workers and students who had gone out to play were all coming back.

The train station was especially crowded.

We queued for a long time before finally squeezing out. After walking a few steps, I stopped and turned to look at Jiang Shaotian.

“What are you doing?”

I nodded. “Okay.”

After Chen Ling left, Jiang Shaotian came over with his bag, his expression not looking good.

“There were too many people when we left the station just now. My bag got knocked over, and I didn’t pay attention at the time.”
