Qin Shiyu stared at Lin Xiaoyu in disbelief.

They had paid an unimaginable price to reconstitute the Water God’s Authority. They had personally traveled to Five Dragons Mountain and helped Frost contain the Water God’s Scale, among countless other preparations.

Yet now, an entirely different manifestation of the Water God’s Authority had appeared inside this school!

What in the world was going on?

Could there be a second Water God in this world?

It was not impossible. After all, so-called gods… were merely anomalies that had grown powerful beyond measure.

But anomalies of that kind were extraordinarily unique. Their power gradually encroached upon certain laws of the real world, forming a sovereign-like divine authority.

Once an anomaly of that nature took shape, its influence would be far-reaching. There was no way the Hall of Anomalies would have failed to notice it altogether.

Once again, Qin Shiyu’s heart was thrown into turmoil.

Where had this Water God’s Authority come from?

Who exactly was Li Que?

What was he trying to accomplish by teaching here?

Countless questions raced through her mind.

At last, she drew a deep breath, gritted her teeth, and said,

“Since I’m already here… of course I’d like to sit in on your class, Teacher Li!”

She might as well make the best of her situation. She had no power to resist now, so she would sit down and uncover the truth.

Even if she had to die, she wanted to die knowing why.

With that, she entered the classroom.

She remained wary of Rain, so she chose a seat closer to Meng Mo.

Qin Shiyu was a core member of the Hall of Anomalies and knew many of its highest-level secrets.

Yet merely by drawing close to him, an S-class anomaly wielder like her had nearly fallen under his influence.

She instinctively backed away, only to bump into a chair. A soft voice drifted over.

“Careful.”

The voice was strangely crystalline, as though it could pierce straight into a person’s heart.

Qin Shiyu spun around and saw Bai Lu admiring herself in her mirror.

At that moment, she also sensed a familiar aura. Her gaze came to rest on Bai Lu’s exquisite bangs.

“Frost’s anomalous entity…”

Qin Shiyu went completely blank. It was as though she were witnessing something that defied all reason.

Frost had been an S+ anomaly who possessed part of the Water God’s power. After her death, her anomalous entity was being used to set someone’s hair?!

Shi Xuan immediately nodded. “You’re right. Whatever we do next will ultimately depend on Teacher Li’s attitude.”
