Outside the classroom, Qin Shiyu stared at the scene within, momentarily stunned.
She had prepared for every possible way she might meet Rain, yet the reality still surprised her.
Rain was actually sitting in a classroom and listening attentively, just like an ordinary student?
How was that possible?
“Class? Hahaha! Class!”
The frost-lashed girl beside her looked as though she had witnessed the greatest joke in the world. Her eyes overflowed with mockery and contempt.
Inside the classroom, Lin Xiaoyu calmly raised her gaze to the girl, her expression perfectly still.
Meng Mo watched with great interest, evidently looking forward to what would happen.
Bai Lu continued studying herself in her mirror and arranging her wispy bangs, utterly unconcerned by the visitors.
“Miss Qin?”
Li Que spoke, puzzlement on his face.
“What brings you here?”
Qin Shiyu gently pressed a hand to Frost’s shoulder, signaling for her to remain patient.
“Teacher Li, could we speak somewhere else?”
A trace of pity entered her eyes.
Once Frost and Rain met here, an unimaginable disaster was certain to erupt.
Qin Shiyu had a favorable impression of Li Que. If she could save one person, she might as well do so.
Li Que nodded.
“All right. The rest of you, study on your own.”
He stepped outside. “We can use my office.”
Qin Shiyu nodded, but the frost-lashed girl ignored him and barged directly into the classroom.
Li Que glanced at her.
“Class… Hahaha! I want to see what it feels like too. How interesting!”
Frost swaggered inside. Her expression and demeanor were strange, and she didn’t appear mentally stable.
“Teacher Li, let her… play in here for a while,” Qin Shiyu said with a sigh.
She didn’t reveal Frost’s identity. If Li Que learned the girl was an S-class anomaly, he might die of fright.
“Fine.”
Li Que nodded. “Meng Mo, take good care of this little girl.”
He left with Qin Shiyu and headed to the office.
Once they were gone…
“I never imagined you’d sit in class and pretend to be human.”
Frost walked to the lectern and looked down at Lin Xiaoyu with mocking amusement.
“What, are you planning to study hard? Will you take the college entrance examination someday? Hahaha…”
She laughed as though it were the funniest thing she had ever seen. Then she swept the chalk box off the lectern, her face twisting viciously.
“Why are you still pretending? Rain, today you die!”
In an instant, countless trails of white frost spread from beneath her feet, covering every wall and desk.
Bitter cold filled the room.
The entire classroom seemed to freeze solid in a heartbeat.
The air itself congealed into deathly silence.
At the lectern, Frost’s hair suddenly transformed into writhing water snakes. Her face became icy white and corpse-like, while her eyes filled with savagery.
A deep blue scale was embedded between her brows.
The scattered pieces of chalk rained down over Meng Mo, Bai Lu, and Lin Xiaoyu.
Meng Mo picked up a piece that landed on his desk. He raised his eyes with a smile.
“Other than Sir, no one in this world has ever dared throw chalk at me.”
An unprecedented coldness appeared on Bai Lu’s face. One piece of chalk had struck her bangs.
But before Meng Mo or Bai Lu could move, Lin Xiaoyu rose first.
She looked slender and frail, quiet and reserved. Yet now, barely contained fury burned in her eyes.
She stared at the water snakes on Frost’s head and the scale embedded between her brows.
“You… betrayed Five Dragons Mountain?”

“Please, sit.”
Once they were seated, Li Que looked at Qin Shiyu.
“Miss Qin, that girl you brought is your younger sister, isn’t she? Are you hoping to enroll her at Mingjiang No. 7 Special School?”
Li Que went straight to the point.
He had worked here for several years and seen many parents bring in their children.
In every case, the child had some kind of problem the family could no longer handle, so they treated the special school as their final hope.

The realization struck her. No. This was completely wrong.

There was only one explanation: Li Que’s power far surpassed hers.
