That was impossible.
Pei Jinzhuo furrowed his brows in annoyance. He shoved Cen Yongmiao aside and strode into the house.
He thought to himself calmly: his sister must be throwing a tantrum to scare him on purpose.
When he left this morning, she had been pestering him to come home early tonight. She had complained piteously that she hadn’t eaten the fish soup he made with his own hands in a long time.
“Ever since you picked up a sword, Brother, you haven’t touched a spatula.”
“I wake up early and stay up late every day to make breakfast for the Great Immortal. Then, after a whole day of drawing talismans, I have to rush back to handle dinner.”
“And you won’t even let me order what I want; you insist on eating whatever I make…”
“I’m so exhausted that I’m becoming as thin as Weiwei!”
She had gritted her teeth, grabbing him by the neck and shaking him back and forth.

However, he searched the dim, silent house several times. He even used his spiritual sense to carefully probe the cellar, which hadn’t been opened in ages.
There was no sign of his sister anywhere.
Pei Jinzhuo closed his eyes, forcefully suppressing an inexplicable irritability rising in his chest.
Pei Yunmiao was definitely doing this for revenge, he thought.
His sister was the most petty person he knew. Because he had ignored her plea for help, she was intentionally disappearing just to spite him.
