Chapter 6
Chapter 6
Before the words even left my mouth, the sound of high heels echoed from a distance.
*Click, clack…*
Every step seemed to stomp directly on everyone’s heartstrings.
A peal of silvery laughter rang out, yet it sent a bone-chilling shiver down the spine of anyone who heard it.
The air grew heavy and viscous, making it feel as though one were about to suffocate.
Suddenly, a player’s expression went blank.
“Could it be… the BOSS from the Certain Death Instance?”
Another player backed away in terror. “What? I heard that in that Dungeon, even the lowest-level NPCs are S-rank!”
“We’re dead! We’re all dead!”
Brother Liu glared at him and sneered, “That’s absolutely impossible!”
“That Dungeon is open nearly twenty-four hours a day. How could the BOSS just leave whenever she wants?”
Hearing this, the Female Ghost burst into a fit of wild laughter. “You clearly have no idea how obsessed Sister Ju is with new releases.”
“Haha! You guys are in for it now!”
The moment Brother Liu heard the name ‘Sister Ju,’ his legs turned to jelly, and he collapsed to the floor.
“No… how could it really be her…”
To be honest, I didn’t actually know who Sister Ju was.
All I knew was that two days ago, she sent a subordinate to pre-order some blind boxes.
That subordinate had knelt and begged me, saying I had to secure the stock no matter what.
Otherwise, Sister Ju would go insane.
If even her subordinates were SSS-rank, Sister Ju was naturally even more formidable.
That was why I had let this group of players tear open the blind boxes.
I couldn’t beat these pieces of trash myself, but someone else certainly could.
As the thought crossed my mind, Sister Ju appeared at the entrance, stepping forward in her red high heels.
She was tall with wavy hair and crimson lips. Initially, a smile played on her face.
However, the moment she saw the absolute mess inside the shop, her smile vanished instantly.
Crow, never one to miss out on a chance to stir up trouble, flew over and pointed her in the right direction. “Sister Ju, look. What’s that?”
Sister Ju’s head twisted 280 degrees to look at the figurine in the player’s hand.
Veins bulged visibly on her forehead, and the entire building began to shake and tremble violently.
“My. Blind. Boxes!”
Taking advantage of Brother Liu’s weakened state, I quickly put some distance between myself and the players.
I placed the empty blind box packaging on the counter and sighed. “The latest set of Bubble Newt blind boxes… I camped out for three hours just to snag one set.”
“I told them these were pre-ordered by someone else.”
“They wouldn’t listen. They tore them all open in one go.”
Hearing this, Sister Ju’s eyes nearly split from rage.
She lunged forward, her hand snapping around the neck of the player who had pulled the hidden variant. “You motherf-”
“Do you have any idea how hard it is to get this set right now?”
“Even the scalpers can’t get their hands on them!”
