Chapter 17
Chapter 17
Three years later, the world returned to peace.
People resumed their normal lives.
But they could never forget the madness of three years ago when order collapsed at the onset of the Weird’s descent.
Nor would they forget that they only survived because the world’s BOSS chose to abandon the Purge Project.
From then on, as soon as children were old enough to understand, their parents and community members would drill a single rule into their heads.
“Never, ever throw a tantrum in any supermarket.”
“Otherwise, no one can save you!”
The common threat used to scare children into behaving changed to: “If you don’t listen, I’m taking you to the supermarket!”
Meanwhile, new players entering the game also discovered this Dungeon.
They discussed it heatedly on the forums:
“Have you guys heard? There’s a Dungeon that looks exactly like the normal world. I went in for a look and didn’t encounter a BOSS at all!”
“I heard that BOSS is S-rank. It’s so weird. Is it a bug?”
The second floor replied with a sweating emoji: “Just count your lucky stars. That Dungeon also has a 5s-rank BOSS!”
“It appears at random intervals. If you dare to lay a hand on the S-rank, the 5s-rank will go berserk!”
However, the sixth floor said: “You guys only know half the story. The truly terrifying part is that I once saw over a dozen BOSSes above SSS-rank in this Dungeon!”
“Luckily, they weren’t interested in me at the time!”
A chorus of mockery followed below: “For real? How could that many BOSSes appear at the same time?”
Amidst the hundreds of comments, a Veteran Player left a post:
“Relax, just interact friendly.”
“You’ll find that this is the most heartwarming Dungeon you’ll ever encounter.”
