She cried like a child who had been denied candy, a sight completely at odds with her Ice Beauty BOSS persona.

Mom patted her back gently. “Stop crying now. I didn’t have a choice.”

Mom began to tell her story slowly.

Years ago, she had been sent out by the Game Company to expand the game’s Dungeons.

During that process, however, she met and fell in love with my father.

Not long after, she gave birth to me.

She wanted me to experience the normal life my father once had.

So, when I was seven years old, she chose to enter a deep sleep.

She did this to evade the Game Company’s tracking and to delay the arrival of the Weird.

Unfortunately, a year ago, the Game Company found this world anyway and began preparing for the descent of the Weird.

The ventilator was actually a modified anesthetic delivery system Mom had created.

Once the anesthesia tube was pulled out, she showed signs of waking up.

The Game Company detected her presence and immediately began the process of bringing the game into this world.

“Speaking of which, I woke up just in time.”

Mom ruffled my hair.

“My little Xiao Ran has grown up to be a BOSS too.”

I stared blankly and pointed a finger at myself. “Huh? Who? Me?”

At that moment, Sister Ju handed over a piece of paper.

It was the promotion application I had filled out before.

Next to “Position for Promotion,” it read: New Dungeon BOSS.

In the bottom right corner was a stamp that said: “Promotion Approved.”

Just like that, I had somehow become the BOSS of my own world.

The other BOSSes were both happy and worried. “Then what about the supermarket?”

“Who’s going to run it?”

Mom smiled. “I’ll apply to the higher-ups to open a supermarket in this world.”

“You all can visit whenever you like.”

The BOSSes let out a cheer.
