Chapter 13
I stared hard at her.
After a moment, I roared and swung my fist at her face.
Qiao Moyu sidestepped it and slapped me right on the forehead.
“Think you can turn the world upside down? You even dare hit people now!”
I scrambled up, clenched my fists, and charged at her.
Punch after punch.
“Liars!
“You two are both liars! Crazy women! Nutcases!
“My dad is a Yin Guest, not some Blood Bait like you said!
“You two are just tomb robbers spouting nonsense! You want to hurt me!”
Not a single punch landed. Instead, Qiao Moyu twisted both my arms behind my back, planted her knee on my shoulder, and forced me to my knees, pinning me down so hard I couldn’t move.
“Yin Guest? Now that you mention it, it does sound a little similar. Don’t tell me you thought you were lying in yin?”
Qiao Moyu let out a scoff.
“Lying in yin isn’t like this. You don’t need to dig a pit, and you don’t need yellow talisman paper. You just light a few sticks of offering incense and lie on flat ground for one night.
“What you’re doing isn’t lying in yin. It’s dragon fishing!”
“You’re lying!”
I struggled with everything I had, so furious I was almost out of control.
What the hell were they talking about?
Every step had been written down clearly in my dad’s book. He was a Yin Guest.
This job had just run into an accident, that was all.
What they meant was that my dad had been lying to me, and Master Wu had been acting along with him.
They wanted me to open some Hidden Dragon Cave underground, just like these two tomb robbers did.
And after the tomb was opened, I would die.
How could that be possible?
That was my dad. My real dad, who had raised me alone since I was little and cared for me in every possible way.
Lu Lingzhu curled her lip.
“There’s no getting through to this stubborn mule. Watch me.”
As she spoke, she walked over and chopped the side of my neck with a vicious palm strike.
My vision went black, and I knew nothing after that.
When I woke up again, I was tied up tight with rope, and a reeking rag had been stuffed into my mouth.
I wanted to struggle, but for some reason, I had no strength at all. My head was foggy too.
It felt as if I were underwater, or trapped beneath a glass dome. Every sound came from far away, muffled and hazy, distant and unreal.
The spiritual sisters-no, the lying sisters-discussed it and said that using a human life to open a Dragon Lair went against the harmony of heaven, so they couldn’t take this job.
Lu Lingzhu started making calls.
“It’s not about the money.
“President Yu, no matter how much more you offer, I can’t do it!
“Stop raising the price, stop!
“Stop saying numbers!”
Qiao Moyu lunged over and snatched the phone.
“How much?
“Deal!”
Lu Lingzhu said, “Are you insane?”
The two of them argued for a while. Qiao Moyu said she had a way. As long as they used some kind of spirit talisman, they could amplify my Bloodline Power.
Then they would set up some kind of formation, and without waiting until the third day, they could fish the Dragon Lair out directly.
“…The only thing is, when the time comes, the commotion will be a little big. And there’s another group watching this tomb too. Those people from the Blood Bait Clan are hard to deal with. How many spirit talismans do you have on you? Give me half first, for protection.”
The two of them argued for a while longer. I felt an ice-cold hand smear mud all over my face, hands, and feet.
My vision blurred and spun into chaos. The world whirled around me.
Like a broken sack, I was bound hand and foot and thrown onto the ground.

My dad was a “Yin Guest”-or, in plain terms, a grave tester.
When rich people picked out a burial plot, they would hire someone to spend a night there and see whether the...
