Chapter 1

I had told the company over and over that what I needed was an incubus with a wide range of skills, excellent stamina,

and who would not refuse a single request of mine.

But the one I received not only refused to let me touch him, he even locked himself in the guest room and wouldn’t let me so much as look at him.

Out of options, I went online for help, only to stumble across a help post by accident.

I’m an incubus. I hate the person who bought me. I only want to be with her younger sister. My rut is about to hit. What should I do?

As if possessed, I clicked into the post.

I only have one suppressant left, but if it’s not her younger sister, I’d rather kill myself than let her touch me.

So what if she buys me the best nutritional supplements? They can’t compare to a single cookie from her younger sister.

Just looking at her makes me sick.

I closed the post and contacted the company’s customer service.

“If I exchange him, will the returned incubus be resold?”

Customer service sent over a smiling emoji.

“No, dear Supreme VIP Member. Disobedient incubus are destroyed. We’re very sorry for accidentally sending you a defective product. Please don’t give us a bad review. We’ll compensate you with a brand-new, top-tier incubus.”

My fingers twitched, and I agreed to the exchange.

A disobedient incubus really should be destroyed.

After carefully studying the Incubus Care Manual again, I looked at Mo Heng on the bed, watching me warily from the corner of his eye, and felt a headache coming on.

He had been home for a week now, and he was nothing like what the internet described. He didn’t know how to please his master, nor did he satisfy her every demand.

On the contrary, he wouldn’t even let me touch him, even though his long-term lack of human fluids had left him so weak he looked like he might collapse in a breeze.

I watched his tail thump loudly against the bed. Its vivid crimson was like a beating heart. According to the incubus manual, that was a sign his rut had arrived.

And an incubus in this state was at his most delicious.

Thinking of the descriptions in the manual, my throat tightened. I moved a little closer to him, my left hand brushing, almost accidentally, over the incubus markings on his lower abdomen as I coaxed him in a low voice.

“Doesn’t it hurt to be so hungry? Don’t you want to eat a little something?”

A dazed gleam flashed through Mo Heng’s pitch-black pupils, and a muffled groan slipped from his throat, nearly making me raise a hand to rub my tingling ears.

At some point, his peach-red tail had wound around my waist, burning that patch of skin until it flushed. Seeing Mo Heng’s flawless face suffused with fallen desire because of my approach, I couldn’t help but sigh softly.

As expected of a premium incubus worth one million. He truly made one’s appetite stir.

I smiled and stroked his burning demon horn, waiting for my food to deliver itself into my mouth. But just before Mo Heng’s lips touched mine, he suddenly shoved me away. Caught off guard, I fell hard to the floor.

My shoulder slammed into the bedside table. A violent, dull pain shot through my body, and anger rose with it.

“No… don’t touch me.”

Mo Heng crouched at the foot of the bed, his tall frame curled pitifully into a ball. He looked like a bullied puppy. His forehead was already beaded with cold sweat from how badly he was suffering, yet he still rejected my touch.

I stood in silence, gave him one last look, then carried the nutritional supplements I had prepared for him out of the bedroom with me.

Something was very wrong with Mo Heng. He was nothing like what the seller had promised me at the time.

Warm, loyal, eager to fulfill every request. Those were the very reasons I had placed an order for an incubus in the first place.

After listening to my description of Mo Heng, customer service asked tactfully,

“Have you been carefully following the Incubus Care Manual? Although every incubus has a different personality, there has never been a case of one rejecting his master.”

The frustration I had just suffered surged back up all at once. I took a picture of the manual, which had nearly been flipped to pieces, and sent it to customer service.

“Does this prove I’ve been taking good care of him?”

Customer service immediately apologized to me.

“We’re terribly sorry, esteemed Supreme VIP Member. The one you received may be a defective product.”

“To make up for your loss, we can replace him with a top-tier incubus for free, dear. We only ask that you don’t leave us a bad review~”

I asked one extra question.

“If I exchange him, will the returned incubus be resold?”

Customer service replied very quickly.

“No, dear. Our shop strictly prohibits the sale of secondhand incubi. Any returned incubi are sent straight back to the factory.”

“Sent back to be refurbished?”

“Destroyed, dear. Disobedient incubi can’t be allowed to continue existing~”

My fingers paused. The storage room was packed full of the food and supplies I’d custom-ordered for Mo Heng. Without him, all of it would have to be thrown away.

Besides, Mo Heng’s tear-bright eyes suddenly flashed through my mind. Not only were his eyes beautiful, his voice was pleasant too. Maybe I could give him one more chance.

The words “no need” had only just appeared on my screen when the incubus forum I’d specifically joined back then to learn more about Mo Heng pushed a new post to me.

[I am an incubus. I hate the person who bought me. I only want to be with her younger sister, Zhenzhen. My rut is about to erupt. What should I do?]

As if possessed, I tapped into the post.

What a coincidence. I happened to have a younger sister named Sun Zhenni.

The original poster’s account had been registered three days ago. As everyone knew, incubi were creatures of extreme loyalty. Now that an incubus had suddenly appeared who was trying to cuckold his own master, the post instantly drew a huge crowd of nosy spectators.

[Real or fake? If it’s true, your master is seriously unlucky. She finally managed to buy an incubus, only for him to fall in love with someone else.]

[Can you stop embarrassing us incubi? I can’t get enough of loving my master every day, and you actually dare to cheat on yours? Where are you? My fist says it wants to caress your face.]

The original poster ignored the comments scolding him and stayed immersed in his own world.

[I only have one inhibitor left. But if I can’t complete my first mating with Zhenzhen, I’d rather kill myself.]

When every incubus left the factory, the seller prepared seven inhibitors for them. It wasn’t that more couldn’t be made, but heat inhibitors were extremely harmful to incubi. Generally, an incubus would only inject himself when his master’s body was inconvenient. Each injection reduced his lifespan by one year.

Seven was the maximum number an incubus could inject.

On Mo Heng’s pale arm, there had been exactly six puncture marks.

[So what if she buys me the best nutritional supplements? They can’t compare to a single cookie from Zhenzhen.]

I nudged the package that had just arrived by my foot. Inside were the nutritional supplements flown in from Leoli that afternoon. Every incubus had a different constitution, so each supplement had to be formulated by a professional R&D team. That was the only reason Mo Heng, who hadn’t received any human bodily fluids for seven days, still had the strength to push me away.

The day I went to pick up Mo Heng, Sun Zhenni insisted on coming with me. They had only met once.

A nutritional supplement worth a hundred thousand yuan each actually couldn’t compare to one cheap cookie. And that cookie had only been given to Mo Heng because it had fallen on the floor and Sun Zhenni thought it was dirty.

[In this life, I will only be loyal to Zhenzhen. Just looking at Sun Jingjing makes me sick, yet she actually dared to come seduce me. I almost couldn’t stop myself from dragging her down with me.]

What an idiot. Expressionless, I packed up all the nutritional supplements in the house and threw them into the trash. Then I opened the customer service chat, deleted those two words, and immediately confirmed the exchange information.

“Thank you for your understanding, dear. Your new incubus will be delivered to your home in three days. When the time comes, the courier will also collect the defective product~”
