Chapter 1
Chapter 1
My deskmate was a rich young lady.
On the day summer break began, she asked me, “We only have three weeks. Should I go to Sydney or Japan?”
I asked her, “Eight hours a day, paid daily, two hundred yuan. Should I go back home to dig potatoes or break corn?”
The rich girl, profoundly shaken, showered me with sympathy.
She introduced me to a very cushy job.
Her younger male cousin was also about to become a senior in high school.
He was so addicted to games that he could not quit.
Deep down, though, he longed for someone to scold him awake.
He wanted to hire a tutor who was good with her hands and could whip him into shape.
Two thousand yuan a day, with food and lodging included.
The rich girl even thoughtfully prepared props for me.
A discipline ruler, a rattan cane, a Seven Wolves belt…
I followed the address to a villa.
After I pressed the doorbell for ages, someone finally opened the door.
A very handsome blond boy frowned as he looked me over. “Why is it a girl?”
I immediately raised my hand and slapped him.
His blond bangs changed direction.
After slapping him, I taught him, “Do not discriminate by gender. Respect girls, okay?”
The blond boy froze. “You dare hit me?!”
I gave him a folding-screen-style bow. “Sorry. Zhou Jiahui told me to do this. She said you liked this type.”
The blond boy stood there stunned for several seconds.
His eyes dodged away, his face slowly reddened, and he cursed under his breath. “Damn. How does she know I…”
Then he stammered as he made way for me. “Th-then come in.”
He took me to a room on the third floor.
There were several large screens inside.
Even the computer tower was transparent and glowing.
I was not exactly worldly.
I did not know what a rich city kid’s study was supposed to look like.
So I asked him, “Can we begin now?”
He pulled out a chair and sat down.
Pointing at the screen beside him, he said, “You use that one.”
So advanced.
Was this paperless learning?
“How good are you at games?” he asked, putting on his headset as if it was only natural. “Zhou Jiahui said your rank is high and you can carry me easily… Wait, what the hell? Why did the screen go black?!”
Only then did I crawl out from under the desk. “Because I unplugged your power.”
“What the hell! Is your brain full of bubbles?!”
I pulled the discipline ruler from behind me and struck his backside hard.
Smiling, I told him, “Curse again and I will slap your mouth, okay?”
He was so scared that he covered his backside, then his mouth. “Who the hell are you? Why did Zhou Jiahui send you here?”
Hm?
The rich girl had not told him?
“My name is Yuan Ying. I am here to tutor you.”
The moment he heard that, his rebellious streak flared again. “I told her to find me a gaming partner! Who told her to find me a tutor?!”
Hm.
The rich girl did have a strategy.
The blond boy pulled the door open and tried to run.
I pressed him against it with one hand.
He struggled hard.
I roughly pinned him from behind and locked the door while I was at it.
His face suddenly turned red, and even his breathing grew heavy. “Wh-what do you want?”
I lifted my head, my lips just brushing his ear. “To study, of course.”
For some reason, his whole body suddenly went soft, which made him much easier to hold down.
Maybe my technique was simply skilled.
After all, even New Year’s pigs were hard to pin, and I had managed those too.
In the dim room, our breaths tangled together. I suddenly remembered to ask him, “Tell me your name.”
The fierce blond boy really was a paper tiger. As soon as I spoke, he shuddered. “Lu… Lu Jiayu.”
