Chapter 2
Divorce came with a month-long cooling-off period.
In my imagination, Ji Liang’an would suddenly realize what he’d lost, grovel to win me back, and become my devoted lapdog.
I’d imagined too much.
He indulged me just as he always had, appearing whenever I called, so good-tempered it was almost absurd.
But the desperate campaign to win his wife back?
Nothing.
Not only was there none, he was even more distant than before.
Every so often, just like now, he’d remind me, “We’re divorced.”
“Baihe, for the sake of your reputation, you should keep your distance from me.”
So he was keeping his distance so he could pursue another woman?
Determined not to lose, I hooked my arm around the doorman’s wrist and made a show of affection.
Ji Liang’an’s gaze sharpened. He looked the man over. “He’s the one you meant to call?”
The doorman tried to explain, but I got in first. “Why not?”
“Remember, we’re separated.”
I deliberately held my head high as I walked past him. He caught my wrist. “Get in the car.”
“No.”
“Cui Baihe, don’t make me say it twice.”
The doorman had no loyalty whatsoever. Sensing the tension, he abandoned me and fled.
Ji Liang’an bundled me into the back seat.
The woman the comments called the female lead fastened her seat belt and asked me with a smile, “Are you Liang’an’s friend?”
“No.” I bit the tip of my tongue, then deliberately said, “I’m his little sister.”
“Aren’t I, big brother Liang’an…?”
The night before last, he’d certainly enjoyed hearing me call him big brother.
I thought he might give me a smile. Instead, he drove me home with a cold face.
I refused to get out. “This isn’t my home.”
“Get out.” He pulled me from the car. Getting out along with us
was that woman I’d never met.
They were so close already.
She was moving in.
No wonder he’d agreed to the divorce. He wanted me to make room for someone else.
Furious, I blocked the female lead’s way.
“Where do you want to sleep?”
Ji Liang’an frowned. “Baihe, be polite. She’s a guest.”
The comments were attacking me too. “Seriously, is something wrong with this girl?”
“Obviously. Otherwise she wouldn’t be the supporting girl.”
“Whatever. Our leads are sleeping together tonight. After that, she’s out of the story for good.”
“She’d better stop making trouble. If the male lead cuts off her allowance, she’s screwed.”
“I’m skipping ahead. I don’t have time for her drama.”
…
Allowance?
I’d almost forgotten. Dad had thought I spent money too freely, so he’d left my inheritance in Ji Liang’an’s hands.
He was supposed to pay it out to me in monthly installments.
Of course, Ji Liang’an had never shortchanged me.
He gave me far more than Dad had left.
So now he was going to cut my allowance?
Was I going from a little princess to a broke college girl?
Oh, no!
I absolutely refused to let that happen.
Taking the female lead’s hand, I smiled and ushered her into the master bedroom. “How about sleeping in my husband’s room?”
“Oops.”
“Ex-husband.”

After I Stopped Ordering My Ex Around
I was drunk.
Out of habit, I sent my ex-husband my location.
“Come get me.”
He replied at once.
“Remember?
We’re divorced.”
“You were the...
