Chapter 2

It seemed he had never imagined I would actually do it.

The smile on Lu Xu’s face froze, and his eyes went wide.

Pei Ting frowned and turned his head away.

The others in the private room reacted in all kinds of ways-some whistled, while others whispered among themselves.

The comments were in shock, too.

[Holy shit, why is it censored? Did the female supporting character really take it off?]

[What could possibly be off-limits to a distinguished VIP member like me?!]

[Is the female supporting character seriously this bold?]

[Oh my god, Shen Zhiyi has no shame.]

[Does the female supporting character not have any sense of shame? Throwing herself at him like that-how cheap.]

[? If your brain doesn’t work, go see a neurologist. Don’t sit here talking out of an ass stuffed with shit.]

I ignored the bloodbath in the comments and paid no mind to the reactions of the people present.

Why should I feel ashamed?

The ones who ought to be ashamed were the men who asked women to take off their clothes and stuff things inside themselves.

Not the women who were forced, coerced, and passively made to submit.

I looked calmly at Lu Xu.

Lu Xu’s gaze traveled down from my face, and when it touched my chest, he jerked it away as if burned.

He turned his head aside, gritting his teeth. “Sister Zhiyi, you really are something else now.”

I ignored his sarcasm. “Pay up.”

Lu Xu choked, then seemed to laugh from sheer anger. He turned back to glare at me. “And if I don’t?”

With a brazen look that said, What can you do to me? Lu Xu stared at me in provocation.

I tilted my head. “You’re going back on your word, right?”

“Right.”

Lu Xu leaned back at ease. This time, he didn’t even bother to avert his gaze, looking straight at me.

I bent down, picked up the dress from the floor, and put it back on.

Then, under Lu Xu’s puzzled stare, I walked up to him.

I reached out swiftly, grabbed a wine bottle from the table, and with a sharp crack, smashed it hard against Lu Xu’s head.

Because I was sick, I didn’t have much strength, but it was still enough to leave Lu Xu drenched in wine and blood.

Lu Xu screamed before he even had time to react.

Holding the shattered bottle, I lunged forward and pinned him down with one knee.

The jagged mouth of the broken bottle pressed against the major artery in Lu Xu’s neck.

Only then did everyone present come back to their senses. They cried out, threatened me, tried to intimidate me.

I acted as if I heard none of it. I only knelt on Lu Xu, pressing the glass firmly against his throat.

Calmly, I said, “Transfer the money. One million.”

Lu Xu’s Adam’s apple bobbed. Blood ran down from his forehead, sliding past the corner of his eye, staining the area a deep red.

Aside from the initial shock, Lu Xu had clearly recovered by now.

There was not the slightest fear of his life being threatened in his eyes. Instead, there was excitement.

Lu Xu tilted his neck back. His lips were a vivid red, opening and closing as he spoke. “Sister Zhiyi, you’re a little different today.”

I ignored him and merely increased the pressure in my hand.

From the side, Pei Ting spoke. “Shen Zhiyi, what game are you playing this time?”

Pei Ting could be considered my childhood sweetheart. We’d gone to the same schools since kindergarten.

Pei Ting had always carried himself with that cool, aloof, untouchable air, acting like he was above everyone else.

To see him flustered and at a loss, I had played plenty of tricks on him over the years.

Only in front of me would Pei Ting show the vivid, youthful side of himself.

But now, Pei Ting’s face had returned to that cold, dead expression again.
