I am full.

Merfolk really are incredible. A merman’s appetite can match a succubus’s perfectly.

Song Xuye wears nothing but dark shorts.

My bite marks and scratches cover his upper body.

All in all, it was a thoroughly delightful experience.

Except for one particular killjoy.

When I call my best friend, she almost coughs up blood from rage.

“That asshole! I was having a great time at the bar when I ran into him drinking himself stupid. That moronic actress was still with him. One look at my face and he guessed I knew where you were. He snatched my phone and found your number. Thank God I deleted our messages. His face turned black as coal!

“But don’t worry. The plane is approved, so just wait there. And when you get back, I’d better get a look at that masterpiece of a man. Mwah!”

Good. Everything is fine.

I swing my foot and plant it on Song Xuye’s stomach.

“Hey, why don’t you come with me?”

He closes a hand around my ankle.

“Come with you to do what?”

“We can feed on each other. I eat you when I’m hungry, and you eat me when you are.”

His eyes darken.

“What do you think I am? Food?”

I grin. “Food is the first necessity of the people. That makes you my whole world.”

“How about this? My family has a little money. I can pay you by the session, and when you need me, I’ll be free.”

I think I am making an extraordinarily generous offer.

Instead, he grips my chin and turns my face toward the window.

Leaning over my ear, he speaks slowly and softly.

“There are thousands upon thousands of treasures beneath this sea. Little succubus, do you really think I need your money?”

A miscalculation!

What does it matter if the world has one more rich person in it?

It seems my only option is abduction.

For the next few days, I crane my neck at the sky.

“What are you looking at? Planning to leave? Going to see somebody else?”

My food is still here. I cannot leave yet.

Finally, one afternoon, a roar shakes the sky.

Song Xuye has no guard up around me at all, so one swing of a club is enough to knock him unconscious.

He is too big for me to drag.

I race toward the plane to find help and trip in my haste.

A pair of leather shoes appears before my eyes. Above them are sharply pressed suit trousers.

Jiang Yancheng.

Why is he here?

Damn it.

I snatch up a handful of dirt and fling it at his face.

He turns his head and dodges.

“Yun Chu, I’m here to take you home.”

I scramble upright. “Are you sick in the head? You refused to save me before. What are you doing here now?”

He cocks his head and studies me at his leisure, though his eyes are poisonous as a scorpion’s.

“I came to see what bastard you’ve been fooling around with.”

I grab his hand. “What? There’s no bastard here. Nobody.”

Jiang Yancheng pulls me against him, his gaze landing on my chest.

Oh.

There is a love bite there.

Through gritted teeth, he says, “And why don’t I believe you?”

“Search the island. Find every man here.”

I am speechless.

Other than the unconscious Song Xuye, who else could there possibly be?

I am terrified Jiang Yancheng will kill my food.

For once, I want to curse myself for being stupid.

Luckily, I still have options.

I wind my arms around Jiang Yancheng’s neck and lean closer.

He thinks I am about to kiss him, so he does not resist.

My two little fangs extend, their sharp points settling against his throat.

After an adult succubus enjoys her first full meal, every part of her body evolves.

There are the bedroom talents, of course, but also a few useful survival tools.

My teeth press against Jiang Yancheng’s neck.

“If any of you goes searching, I’ll bite straight through his throat.”

Everyone stops.

Jiang Yancheng is not frightened.

He even laughs.

Staring at my chest, he says viciously, “Chuchu, you really have fed. The changes are obvious.”

“We’ve known each other since childhood. Could you really hurt me?”

Disgusting.

So he remembers we grew up together.

Was stabbing that actress twice really so hard just because he found her annoying?

“What are you standing around for?” he barks. “Go.”

I turn and sink my teeth into his neck.

A little pressure, and I punch two holes through his skin.

He collapses, shock frozen across his face.

“Oh no, he fainted and he’s bleeding. Hurry and get him onto the plane for treatment.”

The dozen bodyguards stare at one another in confusion.

Then they rush him aboard.

I spit out a mouthful of blood.

“Ew. Absolutely disgusting.”

My pink dress jingles with shells and pearls as I skip happily back toward the cabin.

I never notice the houses layered through the dense jungle.

Nor do I see the group of men in black bodyguard uniforms watching from nearby.

“Bro, what do we do with that girl?”

“Knock her out and take her home. Be careful. She bites.”

“Huh? Ah!”

In the final second before I lose consciousness, only one thought crosses my mind.

Song Xuye, I will come back.

And then I will take you by force!
