Chapter 53
Chapter 53
Help! What on earth is this thing?!
The Skeleton Ghost’s head rolled several times across the ground before coming to a stop, where it lay staring blankly back at the Players.
Seeing the fear, confusion, and trace of terror on the Players’ faces, the Skeleton Ghost thought to itself: That’s right, these people are terrified of me. So, what exactly went wrong?
The Skeleton Ghost had encountered a major crisis in its professional career.
Even though Yun Youyou had punched its head clean off, the Skeleton Ghost refused to give up. Its hand, still suspended in the air, continued to reach toward her.
Yun Youyou: …Little brother, you’re quite stubborn, aren’t you?
Skeleton Ghost: I’m just that hardcore!
Looking at the eerie white bone hand, Yun Youyou showed no mercy and promptly dislocated its claw.
The Players behind her watched with wide eyes as another skeletal claw joined the head on the ground.
The Short-haired Female Player swallowed nervously.
She wasn’t nervous for Yun Youyou; rather, she felt nervous for the poor Skeleton on the other side of her.
“Youyou, why don’t you just come back?”
Although this Skeleton Ghost didn’t seem particularly powerful, it was still unnerving to watch in the middle of the night.
The Skeleton Ghost froze in place, seemingly unable to comprehend why its hand had suddenly vanished.
But it didn’t matter; it still had another hand.
Yun Youyou frowned as she looked at the Skeleton Ghost in front of her.
This ghost was too annoying. It was like a robot with a one-track mind that couldn’t take a hint.
Hearing the Short-haired Female Player’s trembling voice, Yun Youyou thought for a moment, then simply grabbed the Skeleton Ghost and began dragging it back toward the group.
“Wait, wait! Why are you bringing that thing back here?!”
The Tall Man retreated in a panic, his words coming out so fast he practically spat sparks.
As Yun Youyou dangled the Skeleton Ghost in the air, its remaining hand tried to reach out and grab her again.
Yun Youyou reached her limit.
Halfway back, she decided to simply dismantle the Skeleton Ghost.
From the shoulder blades to the ribs, from the hand bones to the kneecaps-she even detached every single joint of its fingers.
The Skeleton Ghost struggled several times, but it was no match for Yun Youyou’s violent disassembly.
The Players: !!!
Report! Someone is illegally dismantling a ghost over here!
The Skeleton Ghost flailed its remaining limbs a few times, but by the time Yun Youyou separated the last two bones, it lost all movement entirely.
Yun Youyou hadn’t originally intended to take it apart.
But when a ghost refuses to listen, it’s usually just being stubborn; you just have to break it down. If you can’t solve the problem, solve the ghost creating the problem.
Looking at the pile of white bones covering the ground, Yun Youyou finally stood up, satisfied.
Finally, some peace and quiet.
Yun Youyou clapped her hands together, now empty, and strolled leisurely back toward the Players.
“The problem is solved. Let’s continue the Game.”
She dusted off her clothes, a silent hero hiding her fame, and sat back down on the ground.
After something like that, how could anyone be in the mood to play?
The Tall Man was the first to snap out of it. He stared at Yun Youyou with a bizarre expression, his tone filled with shock.
“You still want to play? After what just happened, you’re still in the mood for a Game?”
Yun Youyou casually tied her hair back, mimicking his previous tone: “Oh, you boys are just too cowardly. It’s just a small thing, isn’t it? The problem is solved, so what could possibly go wrong? You boys just love making a fuss over nothing.”
She shook her head as she spoke. “Fine, since you’re scared, we won’t play. I just didn’t expect…”
Yun Youyou looked up at the Tall Man, then lowered her head and sighed. “Sigh, never mind. I shouldn’t say it.”
The Tall Man felt the kind of suffocating frustration that comes from being interrupted mid-shit, running out of ink halfway through an exam, or realizing you don’t have chopsticks after your instant noodles are finished steeping.
What came after “I didn’t expect”?
Just finish the damn sentence!
The Tall Man didn’t want to become a laughingstock. He tilted his chin up, pulled the guy next to him down to sit, and stiffened his neck. “It’s just a game. We’re not afraid.”
Yun Youyou gave him a generous round of applause.
“Good! You’re a real man.”
The five of them sat back down on the floor.
Although the Tall Man was seated, his legs were shaking uncontrollably, and he was freaking out internally.
God only knew if some other ghostly thing would pop up here.
But he couldn’t bring himself to admit he was scared now; he couldn’t lose face. He could only pray in his heart that he wouldn’t be the one picked.
Yun Youyou gave him a knowing look and gripped the alcohol bottle.
“I’m going to start spinning! Whoever it points to will also have to do a Dare.”
*Please don’t be me! Please don’t be me!*
The Tall Man kept his face expressionless, but he was praying like a madman inside, his lips pressed tightly together in nerves.
However, when luck comes, there’s no stopping it.
When the bottle stopped, it pointed straight at the Tall Man.
As soon as he saw it, his face turned ashen, looking like a man who had just been handed a death sentence.
The Short-haired Female Player burst out laughing three times.
She finally felt like she’d vented some of the resentment in her heart.
Since he loved playing Truth or Dare so much, she’d let him enjoy it to the fullest.
The Short-haired Female Player looked at the Tall Man with schadenfreude, her voice dripping with sarcasm. “Oh my, oh my… you’re not actually scared, are you?”
The Tall Man forced a smile and said insincerely, “How could I be? Of course I’m not scared!”
Yun Youyou caught something out of the corner of her eye.
“In that case, I’ve already thought of your Dare.”
“What is it?”
The Tall Man was tense to the breaking point.
Yun Youyou pointed to a pile of bones not far away. “See that?”
The Tall Man nodded dumbly, not understanding her point.
“I see it.”
Yun Youyou said, “Your Dare is to put it back together.”
The Tall Man: !!!
He stared at the pile of bones in disbelief, his pupils shrinking violently.
“You want me to… to put it back together?”
Who in their right mind would dare to reassemble a pile of bones? Most people would be scared shitless before they even got close.
The Short-haired Female Player, however, thought it was a fantastic idea.
Watching the Tall Man’s pale face from the side, she couldn’t help but mock him.
“That girl dared to tear that Skeleton Monster apart with her bare hands. What’s a big man like you so surprised about!”
The Tall Man was filled with a deep sense of regret.
Dammit, he was never playing this bullshit Truth or Dare again for the rest of his life!
This wasn’t a Truth or Dare; this was a death trap disguised as a game.
Just then, the guy sitting next to him suddenly raised his hand.
The Tall Man felt a surge of joy.
This kid was actually loyal; he truly was a good bro.
He looked at the person beside him, moved. “I didn’t expect you to be willing to go with me…”
Instead, the guy said, “I agree! Now *that’s* a real Dare.”
Only after saying that did he turn to look at the Tall Man. “What did you just say? I didn’t hear you clearly.”
The Tall Man’s face twisted into a hideous grimace. He glared at him ferociously, so angry his brain felt like it was glitching into random code. “%#¥%& Go die!”
Spittle flew everywhere.
