The sharp blade of the scalpel glinted coldly under the surgical lights.

A faint smirk curled beneath the doctor’s mask. “In that case, I definitely can’t let you leave this operating table alive.”

“Help! Someone help me! I don’t want to be neutered!”

Yun Youyou had originally intended to just stand by as a piece of background decoration. She wasn’t a saint; she couldn’t exactly risk her own life just to save someone else.

However, Wang Yuanyou’s screams rose in wave after wave, echoing through the operating room with tragic intensity. Remembering how Wang Yuanyou had pleaded for mercy on her behalf in front of Ji Lin back then, Yun Youyou couldn’t help but hesitate.

Before she even realized what she was doing, she had already acted.

A tray holding surgical instruments suddenly flew through the air, slamming hard against the doctor’s wrist.

Pain shot through the doctor’s wrist, and the scalpel tumbled to the floor.

He hadn’t expected the Little Nurse beside him to actually dare hit him with a tray. A mere extra, and she had the audacity to act out in front of him.

Yun Youyou quickly said, “It’s a misunderstanding! This is all a misunderstanding. My hand slipped and I accidentally hit you. Please, sir, be the bigger person and don’t hold it against a lowly subordinate like me!”

“Once I’m done neutering him, you’re next. I’m going to peel your skin off bit by bit and pour boiling water into your brain.”

The doctor pulled off his mask, revealing a greyish-blue face. His cheeks were so gaunt it looked like the flesh might fall off at any second. He glared viciously at Yun Youyou as he picked the scalpel back up.

Yun Youyou knew she couldn’t beat him in a fight, so she could only rely on her mouth to stall for time.

She stared at the doctor’s unmasked face. “Trying to seduce me by taking off your mask? Sorry, I’m not into that.”

Doctor: …

Was there something wrong with this new ghost’s head?

Lying on the operating table, Wang Yuanyou deeply admired the Little Nurse’s courage and chimed in to help. “Exactly! If you want to capture a Little Nurse’s heart with your looks, you’d at least have to look like my Brother Ji. Someone like you is just way too ugly.”

The doctor reached his breaking point.

He didn’t want to perform a neutering anymore. He wanted to sew this man’s mouth shut so he could never speak again.

Wang Yuanyou watched in horror as the needle drew closer and closer.

When it was barely 0.01 meters away, the doors to the operating room were suddenly blown open.

Dust and debris filled the room, causing the three people inside to instinctively close their eyes. When they opened them again, a new figure stood in the operating room.

“Brother Ji! Brother Ji, you’re finally here! I missed you so much!”

Wang Yuanyou’s eyes blazed with fervor. He looked at Ji Lin as if he were a god descending to earth. In his heart, even a god couldn’t compare to Ji Lin. A god wouldn’t descend to save him, but Brother Ji would!

Yun Youyou was wearing a mask, so she wasn’t choked by the dust. Those familiar features were as sharp and handsome as ever. Even in a hospital gown, he carried a cold, ascetic aura. However, his overall vibe didn’t suggest he was a patient; he looked like he was there to pick a fight.

The moment Yun Youyou saw him, she was reminded of the massive debt she owed him.

“Where did this patient come from? Can’t you see we’re in the middle of surgery? Get the hell out of here!”

The doctor was becoming even more irritable. What was going on today? He just wanted to perform one surgery, so why was everyone coming out of the woodwork to cause trouble?

“If you don’t leave right now, I’ll call security to drag you out!”
The doctor’s tone carried a hint of a threat.

Instead of leaving, Ji Lin took a few more steps toward the operating table.

“If you don’t leave now, don’t even think about leaving later! All three of you are staying here for sterilization surgery!”

The doctor was exasperated, venting his powerless rage within the operating room.

Yun Youyou couldn’t understand why this doctor was so obsessed with sterilization. He seemed intent on performing the procedure on anyone he caught.

Ji Lin couldn’t help but frown when he heard the words “sterilization surgery.”

Taking advantage of Ji Lin’s momentary distraction, the doctor lunged forward, aiming to jab the anesthetic needle in his hand into Ji Lin’s arm.

He smirked triumphantly.

Yet, at the very moment the needle tip was about to pierce the skin, his hand could move no further.

Ji Lin remained calm, his grip unyielding.

The doctor’s face turned beet red, but he still couldn’t force the needle in.

*How is this possible? How can this person be so strong?*

While the doctor was questioning his very existence, Ji Lin had already snatched the anesthetic needle from his hand and injected it back into the doctor’s body with a swift motion.

His eyes widened. Before he could even react, his mind grew heavy, and he soon collapsed to the floor, unconscious.

Fortunately, he was a ghost. After only a moment of vertigo, his consciousness returned.

When he opened his eyes, the first thing the doctor saw was the blinding glare of the surgical lights.

He tried to move, only to find his hands and feet tightly bound to the hospital bed with restraints.

The doctor’s eyes darted around in terror.

Ji Lin was twirling a scalpel between his slender fingers. The sharpness of the blade made one worry he might accidentally cut those beautiful hands.

Wang Yuanyou had been given some medicine by Ji Lin and was now full of life again.

The doctor’s entire body went stiff.

The doctor struggled for a moment, but realizing there was truly no way to escape, he looked at the handsome young man before him with pleading eyes.

“Actually, I have my reasons. My wife died during childbirth, so I wanted to perform sterilization on everyone in the world. That way, everyone could live on forever, right?”

Ji Lin looked at the scalpel in his hand and said nothing.

Wang Yuanyou looked disgusted.

The doctor nodded nonchalantly. “Sure, go ahead. I’m a vegetarian anyway.”

Yun Youyou had been hiding in the corner.

Determined to drag someone else down with him in his misfortune, he immediately shouted, “There’s a nurse over there! Go grab her and sterilize her too!”

Wang Yuanyou and Ji Lin followed the doctor’s gaze and saw Yun Youyou shrinking back behind a piece of machinery.

A flicker of amusement passed through Ji Lin’s eyes.

Since Yun Youyou was wearing a mask, Wang Yuanyou didn’t recognize her immediately.
