When they returned to the Mansion, George happened to be escorting Tang Yuan down from upstairs.

He was respectful, a stark contrast to his attitude toward them.

“Miss Lilith’s condition is very stable,” Tang Yuan said with a smile. “I believe she’ll recover soon.”

“Let’s hope so.” The wrinkles on George’s face seemed to relax considerably. “Madam has truly exhausted herself over Miss Lilith’s health. Please rest in the hall for a while; lunch will be ready soon.”

Tang Yuan nodded and went to sit on the sofa in the hall.

Tu Nan exchanged a glance with Fu Zhixing and walked over to Tang Yuan.

“Hello, Miss Tang.”

Tang Yuan lifted her eyelids to glance at her, but said nothing.

“I’m not feeling well. I wonder if I could ask you to take a look at me?” Tu Nan sat down beside her, speaking politely.

“My consultation fee is very expensive,” Tang Yuan replied lazily. “And I’ve just finished seeing Miss Lilith. I’m tired and don’t want to move.”

“Do you know what illness Miss Lilith has?” Tu Nan feigned concern. “You know, we’re supposed to play games with Miss Lilith this afternoon. I’m worried I might accidentally offend her, and that would be unfortunate for me.”

Tang Yuan looked at her with a half-smile. “Are you trying to get information out of me?”

Tu Nan’s smile froze.

This Tang Yuan really wasn’t polite at all.

“Of course not,” she said. “Why would you think that? I’m just afraid of upsetting Miss Lilith, that’s all.”

“It doesn’t matter either way,” Tang Yuan said coolly. “I know you want to know what illness she has. It would help you clear the Instance.”

Tu Nan’s eyes widened suddenly.

Tang Yuan really wasn’t an NPC.

To say the word “Instance” could only mean she was a Player too.

But why would a Player enter the Instance a whole day after it started?

“Don’t misunderstand. I’m not a participant in this Instance,” Tang Yuan seemed to read her thoughts. “I’m just here on a business trip.”

“A business trip?” Tu Nan asked, puzzled. “What do you mean?”

Tang Yuan frowned, clearly uninterested in explaining further. “In short, I’d like to help you, but the Rule doesn’t allow it-unless you trade something for it.”

“What kind of thing?”

Tang Yuan looked at her and smiled. “I have a patient who is a fanatic for Rose Madam. He was personally sent to our hospital by Madam herself. Now he cries day and night, making it impossible for us to have any peace.”

“So…?”

“He says his lifelong wish is to always smell the scent on Madam. If you can get me Madam’s Perfume, I’ll tell you what illness Miss Lilith actually has.”

Madam’s Perfume…

That sort of thing was undoubtedly kept in Madam’s own room.

To get that bottle of Perfume meant she would have to investigate Madam’s room.

“I’ll be leaving the Manor tomorrow morning, which means you don’t have much time,” Tang Yuan sipped the black tea on the table. “Friendly tip: Madam will be in her room all night. If you want to act, this afternoon until dusk is your only chance.”

“I understand. Thank you.”

Tu Nan got up and left.

Fu Zhixing had been watching them from not far away. Seeing her leave Tang Yuan’s side, he walked over.

“How did it go?” he asked in a low voice.

“She said if I want to know what illness Lilith actually has, I have to trade Madam’s Perfume for it.”
“Madam’s Perfume…” Fu Zhixing frowned. “Doesn’t that mean we have to go to Madam’s room?”

“Yes, and she’s leaving tomorrow. We have to steal the Perfume today.” Tu Nan pondered for a moment. “This afternoon, when we’re playing games with Lilith, she should be accompanying us. But how do we slip away to Madam’s room?”

“Let me do it,” Fu Zhixing said in a low voice. “I have a Puppet. I can make the Puppet pretend to be me, and I’ll go to Madam’s room.”

“But your Puppet…” Tu Nan said worriedly, “won’t it be too easy to see through?”

“I’ll use the excuse of feeling unwell and let the Puppet stay by the side. You help cover for me as much as possible. I’ll be back as soon as I can.”

Tu Nan nodded, then suddenly thought of something. She hesitated, but couldn’t help but speak: “If it’s convenient, after you find the Perfume, could you check if Madam has any other private items? Please bring one for me.”

Fu Zhixing was a bit puzzled. “Private items?”

“It’s my Skill,” Tu Nan tried to keep calm. “I have a book that likes to eat such things.”

No matter where you put it, that’s pretty outrageous.

But Fu Zhixing had seen a lot and encountered even more bizarre Skills, so he just nodded. “Got it.”

At lunchtime, Lilith appeared in the Dining Room.

She looked in good spirits, holding the Persian Cat Xiao Bai in her arms. Tu Nan remembered their task and deliberately fed Xiao Bai some Feed.

Tu Nan was a bit surprised and glanced up at Lilith.

“Thank you.” Lilith was a polite and well-mannered child. She gently stroked Xiao Bai’s head and thanked her.

“It’s what I should do,” she replied softly.

“Those two Lambs didn’t get any food today either, did they?” Lilith suddenly asked her.

Everyone in the Dining Room turned their gaze over. Jack nervously clenched his hands, afraid Lilith would hold him accountable.

“Yes…” Tu Nan carefully chose her words. “Maybe they’re not hungry yet. When they’re hungry, they’ll eat.”

Sympathy flashed in Lilith’s beautiful eyes; her expression was sincere. “But if they don’t eat, won’t they starve to death one day?”

Qin’s chest rose and fell with nervousness.

If Lilith insisted they feed the Lambs, they wouldn’t be able to refuse.

“It’s all because of you!” Jack suddenly stood up and pointed at Qin. “If you hadn’t stopped me, I would’ve fed the Lambs already!”

“Shut up!” George interrupted sternly. “Who allowed you to shout in front of Miss Lilith!”

Jack’s face turned pale.

In his panic, he had forgotten the Rule of the Dining Room!

“Someone, drag him out!” George ordered coldly.

Two burly Manservants came in from outside and rushed forward to take Jack away.

Rose’s eyes reddened with anxiety, but she didn’t dare to intervene.

Lilith tilted her head, watching calmly.

Tu Nan looked at her and suddenly said, “About your earlier question, I have a different opinion.”

“Oh?” Lilith was taken aback and instinctively looked at her. “What do you think?”

“If my answer satisfies you,” Tu Nan paused, then mustered her courage to say, “could you spare Jack?”
