Late at night at the Mass Grave.

Seeing a fool talking to a grave mound.

That scene alone was creepy enough.

Li Liang spoke to the grave mound for a while, and his sobs gradually quieted down.

He leaned against the mound, as if lying in someone’s arms, as if someone was comforting him.

Song Xiaotian and I felt our scalps tingle. Could it be that Li Liang really saw his father, and his father was comforting him now?

But soon, Li Liang started crying again.

He was still crying, but it sounded different from before.

Earlier, he cried out of deep sorrow, perhaps because of his sister Li Xiumei’s death.

But now, he cried out of grievance…

“The people in the village all bully me and Mom.”

“They say I’m a fool.”

“They say Mom and I should die with you.”

“Dad, I’m so sad…”

For some reason, these words made Song Xiaotian and me feel uncomfortable too.

Li Liang and his mother were indeed unreasonable, even a bit wild, but in the end, the mother and son had been bullied for too long.

Li Liang’s Father had already been driven to hang himself by the villagers. It’s really not easy for an Old Woman to raise a fool. Yet these villagers still kept bullying them.

Li Xiumei’s crimes were certainly hateful, but were these villagers truly upholding justice?

Upholding justice, to the point of targeting an Old Woman and a fool.

They were all from the same village. What they did was nothing but using the guise of justice to vent their own malice.

Song Xiaotian and I prepared to leave quietly, not planning to deal with Li Liang anymore.

He cried like a child, and Song Xiaotian couldn’t bring himself to act.

Of course, that was a secondary reason-the main reason was that we were scared.

But before we could get far, it seemed someone didn’t want us to leave.

“Stop, where are you going?”

An Old Man’s voice suddenly came from behind us.

Hearing that voice, Song Xiaotian and I froze involuntarily.

Other than us, only Li Liang was here. Where did the Old Man come from?

We slowly turned around and saw Li Liang standing not far away, holding a kitchen knife.

The expression on his face was no longer foolish; he didn’t look like a fool at all now, even seeming a bit old and imposing.

That Old Man’s voice was coming from his mouth…

Song Xiaotian didn’t dare speak. I swallowed hard and looked at Li Liang: “We… we got lost, didn’t mean to disturb you, we’ll leave now…”

“Leave?” Li Liang’s gaze, like that of an old man, fixed on us: “You bullied my son, do you think you can just leave?”

Terrified, we stepped back two paces, hurriedly explaining: “You’ve misunderstood, we didn’t bully him, we were just playing around…”

“You people think Liangzi isn’t right in the head, so you bully him, don’t treat him like a person.” Li Liang narrowed his eyes, suddenly turning ferocious: “You torment him all the time, torment that orphan and widow. People like you truly deserve to die!”

As soon as he finished speaking, a chilling wind swept around us, swirling the fallen leaves on the ground, cold to the bone.

My heart instantly started to ache, as if a giant hand was squeezing it tightly.
I stared at Song Xiaotian in terror, and found that he was just like me.

It seemed that Li Liang’s Father was not going to let the two of us go easily.

Just then, Song Xiaotian, who had always been afraid of ghosts, suddenly dashed forward.

He moved so fast, like an arrow leaving the bow, and quickly rushed to Li Liang.

Li Liang raised the kitchen knife and swung it at his head. I was petrified with fear.

“Brother Tian! Watch out!”

But that strike didn’t hit him. Song Xiaotian was as agile as an eel, and with a Qinna move, he locked Li Liang’s knife-wielding hand, slapped the kitchen knife flying, and then knocked Li Liang away.

Li Liang struggled to get up, but before he could, Song Xiaotian didn’t hold back-he rushed forward and delivered a flying kick, sending Li Liang flying onto a grave mound.

I was stunned.

I had always thought Song Xiaotian was just like any ordinary policeman, maybe only knew some flashy moves.

But what he showed was extremely professional grappling and combat skills.

This guy is awesome!

“Run!”

After kicking Li Liang away, he didn’t get entangled any further, but rushed over, grabbed me, and ran.

Li Liang had already been possessed by his father. Just now, he hadn’t expected Song Xiaotian to strike so suddenly, and with such skill.

If Li Liang’s Father left Li Liang’s body, we probably wouldn’t be able to escape.

We ran all the way down the mountain. As we ran, Song Xiaotian suddenly let go of me.

I turned around and saw Song Xiaotian frozen in place, his expression filled with terror, as if something had immobilized him.

“Brother Tian!”

I called out to him, but didn’t dare to approach for the moment.

At that moment, I noticed a handprint on his neck. The handprint was bulging out from under his skin, as if a hand had reached inside his flesh and was choking his throat.

Song Xiaotian’s face was turning red; clearly, he couldn’t breathe.

I was so anxious I didn’t know what to do, cold sweat breaking out all over me. I had no idea how to save him.

If Song Xiaotian died here, I’d probably never forgive myself for the rest of my life.

In desperation, I pulled out the fruit knife I’d bought before climbing the mountain. I’d originally intended it for self-defense, but now it was finally useful.

Gripping the knife, I rushed over, grabbed Song Xiaotian’s left hand, and cut his palm.

Blood quickly flowed from the wound. I grabbed his hand and pressed the blood onto the handprint.

Miraculously, as soon as the handprint touched Song Xiaotian’s blood, it quickly disappeared.

Song Xiaotian collapsed to his knees, gasping for breath.

But I couldn’t let him rest; I grabbed him and ran.

What had just happened seemed to have frightened him too. The two of us ran desperately down the mountain, not stopping until we reached the Village Chief’s doorstep.

Song Xiaotian was still shaken, and asked me how I’d saved him just now.

“This is a method taught to me by Seventh Master.”

Luckily, I remembered it in time.

Previously, when Seventh Master was chatting with me and Meng Yifan, he mentioned something: he said that policemen and soldiers naturally carry a kind of authority, and this authority can intimidate Ghosts.

But there’s a prerequisite-whether policeman or soldier, they must have killed someone…
