Liu Xiong clearly disliked being the center of attention. He frowned, casting an impatient glance at me.
“Master Qiao, if you need anything, just contact my secretary. I have things to attend to.”
I gave a cold laugh and released his hand.
“If you walk out those doors, you will surely meet a violent death tonight.”
Liu Xiong: “…”
Chen Zhen cleared his throat. “Master Qiao, that’s a bit much. A bit much.”
He clearly thought I was exaggerating. Liu Xiong was only in his thirties, in the prime of his life. He had private doctors at home and eight bodyguards whenever he traveled. For a man like him, dying wasn’t exactly an easy thing to do.
Liu Xiong was starting to get angry, but he was well-bred and didn’t resort to insults.
“Master Qiao, I invited you here out of respect for Master Chen. Feng Shui requires genuine talent and learning; it’s not about playing the mystic or using empty threats and tall tales to scare people.”
As Liu Xiong spoke, he reached out to brush off the sleeve I had just grabbed. I looked down, and the glittering diamond-encrusted watch on his wrist nearly blinded me.
Very well, young man. Your wealth just saved your life.
“You’ve been suffering from impotence lately, haven’t you? Your girlfriend hasn’t complained?”
The moment the words left my mouth, Liu Xiong’s expression shifted instantly. He looked as if someone had seized him by the throat, his eyes widening as he sucked in a sharp breath. He shot a wary look at his surroundings before leaning in to whisper in my ear.
“Ahem, keep your voice down. Keep it down!”
Liu Xiong coughed a few times for tactical cover before lowering his voice further.
“Master Qiao, how could you tell?”
I reached out and tapped him near his kidneys. Sure enough, the area was ice-cold to the touch, and the skin had already begun to stiffen. After checking both sides of his lower back, I reached up and patted the Fuguibao on the back of his neck.
“This hump on your neck-do you know what’s inside it?”
“It’s filled entirely with Death Qi!”
