Chapter 10
Chapter 10
This place has excellent Feng Shui; a single body couldn’t possibly generate such powerful Death Qi. Furthermore, even if Elder Tong’s father was still buried beneath, logic dictated that while resentment could turn into a Curse, this location was on the sunny side of the mountain, receiving sunlight from dawn till dusk. With sea breezes blowing from both sides and clear airflow, there was no way for Death Qi to condense to this degree.
There had to be something else hidden beneath this grave.
When I told Liu Xiong to open the tomb so I could take men down to investigate, the crowd erupted.
President Xu’s face flushed red, clearly feeling insulted.
“That’s absolutely impossible! I was personally present when Tong Fusheng moved the grave. Do you think I’d let him sneak another body in there?”
Liu Xiong also hesitated, unwilling to open the tomb.
“Master Qiao, my father is buried peacefully. Having so many people go down there would be a great sign of disrespect. It’s too unlucky.”
I nodded and agreed.
“Fine, then we won’t go down. In a couple of days, your father will come up to see you himself. The result will be the same.”
“What?! Men, quick, open the tomb immediately!”
Liu Xiong’s voice cracked with terror. He let out a shriek, ordering his men to open the grave at once. Wealthy families in Hong Kong liked to build their tombs in the style of an Underground Palace. Once the headstone was moved, there was a space about two meters high and thirty square meters in size. A coffin sat directly beneath where the headstone had been.
Light filtered through the entrance of the Underground Palace, illuminating the pitch-black coffin, while the rest of the space remained shrouded in a thick, heavy darkness.
I had Liu Xiong prepare searchlights and a ladder, intending to head down into the Underground Palace.
However, the Hong Kong Feng Shui Masters refused to allow it, insisting on following me down.
“Hmph, who knows if you’ll try to pull some stunt down there just to play ghost!”
“Exactly. I can see right through you. You’re just a little girl who knows the bare basics of Feng Shui and uses supernatural nonsense to trick people. Today, we’ll show you what true, orthodox Feng Shui looks like.”
I looked at the group of old men with concern. Counting Chen Zhen and President Xu, there were six highly respected Feng Shui Masters here. Combined, they were nearly four hundred years old.
“If a corpse transformation happens in a moment, you won’t be able to run. Why bother going down?”
Everyone froze for a second before they all burst out laughing.
“Hahaha! A corpse transformation? Oh, little girl, have you been watching too many Lam Ching-ying Jiangshi movies?”
“Hahaha! Chen Zhen, where did you find this girl? A corpse transformation? Is she going to say there’s a Jiangshi next?”
President Xu laughed as well, shaking his head with a sneer.
“What utter nonsense. To think I actually discussed Feng Shui with someone like you… it’s truly a disgrace to our Feng Shui Association.”
