Chapter 1
Chapter 1
My name is Qiao Moyu. I’m a freshman at Nanjiang University, the only contemporary Earth Master successor, and the Sect Master of the Feng Sect.
In ancient times, an Earth Master was another term for a Feng Shui Master. Among the Eight Great Sects of Jianghu, the Feng Sect studies the world’s geography, mountains, and rivers; every Feng Shui Master belongs to the Feng Sect.
So, to put it simply, when it comes to Feng Shui, if I claim to be second best, no one would dare claim to be first.
This time, at the invitation of Feng Shui Master Chen Zhen, I accompanied him to Hong Kong.
I didn’t expect that before we even boarded the plane, we would be stopped at the security checkpoint.
“I’m sorry, miss, but you cannot bring beverages onto the plane. You can head over there to check your luggage.”
“Pfft, where did this country bumpkin come from? She doesn’t even know that?”
Someone nearby let out a quiet, mocking laugh. Chen Zhen pulled at me awkwardly.
“Sect Master, is this your first time flying?”
I shook my head and looked at the ground crew member with a serious expression.
“Miss, this isn’t a beverage. It’s Yin-Yang Water.”
“Hahaha, What’s the difference between that and a drink? That’s hilarious!”
The laughter around us grew louder. Some people even pulled out their phones and started filming us. Chen Zhen’s face instantly turned red.
“Sect Master, isn’t Yin-Yang Water just half cold water and half boiling water? It’s not exactly rare. It’s fine to just check it in.”
I froze and looked at Chen Zhen in surprise.
“What on earth? You don’t even know what Yin-Yang Water is? Has all the Feng Shui you Hong Kongers learned gone to the dogs?”
As soon as I said this, the people nearby were immediately offended. It was common knowledge that Hong Kongers placed great importance on Feng Shui. From wealthy tycoons and celebrities to ordinary merchants and commoners, every household relied on it. Their media even published Feng Shui indices to provide guidance for citizens’ daily lives.
Among those waiting to board were several Hong Kongers who immediately turned to me with furious expressions.
“What’s wrong with you? Hong Kongers don’t understand Feng Shui? What does a mainland brat like you know?”
“Exactly! Your traditions were lost long ago. All the truly powerful Feng Shui Masters are from Hong Kong!”
Chen Zhen, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, looked like he wanted to bury his head in the ground. He leaned toward me and pleaded in a low voice.
“Sect Master, Master Qiao, please stop talking. It’ll look bad if a fight breaks out. Let’s just toss this Yin-Yang Water and board first. Boss Liu is waiting on the other end; he’s already called me several times to rush us.”
I gave him a disappointed look and sighed.
“Sigh, it really is a case of the new generation being worse than the last. I didn’t expect Hong Kong’s Feng Shui to have declined to such a state.”
“I’ll broaden your horizons today. Listen well to what true Yin-Yang Water is.”
Yin-Yang Water consists of one part Yin and one part Yang. Yin water refers to groundwater that has never seen the light of day. However, that is merely ordinary Yin water. The most special kind must be taken from the underground rivers at the foot of Mount Everest.
Mount Everest is the highest peak on Earth and the closest to the sun. When the sun shines upon its golden peaks, the energy is incredibly potent. When the melted snow flows underground, it carries pure Yang within pure Yin-this is the ultimate Yin water.
As for Yang water, ancient formulas refer to rainwater that has not yet touched the ground. But the strongest of its kind is found in the Kunlun Mountains. Known as the ‘Ancestor of All Mountains,’ one must use a white jade plate to catch the rain during the Zi Hour. The Zi Hour is the most Yin time of day; only by transforming Yin within Yang can one obtain the most powerful Yang water.
The Yin-Yang Water created this way is called Xuanze. It can drive out demons, exorcise evil, and shatter every form of wickedness in this world.
