Chapter 2
Chapter 2
I threw up again at noon.
Sensing that something was wrong, I hurried to have my personal maid, Yuqin, check my pulse.
Yuqin was a servant I had brought from my family estate; she was the most tight-lipped person I knew.
After she finished checking my pulse, her expression became solemn.
“Miss, you… how could you…”
“What is it?”
I thought I was dying.
Instead, she told me I was pregnant.
My eyes widened.
The sky was falling.
I would have preferred to be dead.
Damn it, didn’t that Eighteen drink the contraceptive soup for men before he served me?
I was just instructing Yuqin not to say a word about this to anyone.
Suddenly, the Princess walked in, her face pale with panic.
“Mu Yao, a guard just reported that Eighteen hasn’t been summoned at all recently. Who has been the one serving you these past few days?”
“What?”
My mind went blank, and I felt a wave of dizziness.
It wasn’t Eighteen.
Then who was the person provoking me every night?
That appearance… he looked exactly like Eighteen.
Could it be that the other party had also used a disguise technique?
It was over.
The sky had fallen again.
The Princess frowned. “Don’t worry, I’ll have someone investigate this thoroughly.”
A maid announced from outside that the Crown Prince had arrived.
Song Yunjiao’s expression soured the moment she heard the Crown Prince mentioned.
The two of them were born to different consorts and had been competing since they were children; she had never won once.
“I haven’t been to the Imperial Study lately, so he must be looking for an excuse to lecture me again.”
The Princess went to the main hall to meet him.
Sure enough, the Crown Prince was holding several books in his hand.
“Song Yunjiao, the Grand Tutor was quite angry that you’ve been skipping class lately. Here, you need to catch up on your schoolwork.”
“Hmph, I don’t need you to tell me that.”
The Princess didn’t even spare them a glance. A maid beside her tactfully stepped forward to take the books.
As the books were pulled away, they revealed jade-white, slender fingers. Between the thumb and index finger was a small mole.
It was in the exact same position.
That mole… I had dampened it many times.
I froze on the spot, meeting the gentle gaze of the Crown Prince, Song Qinian.
“Sister Yao, why do you look so pale? Did you not eat enough at noon? I had someone bring some of your favorite Songluo cake.”
“T-thank you, Crown Prince.”
Song Qinian handed the food box to me.
When his fingertips brushed the back of my hand, I jerked away in a hurry, nearly knocking the box over.
His eyes darkened.
“Sister Yao, what’s wrong?”
“It’s nothing. Perhaps I just didn’t sleep well last night.”
My heart was trembling with fear.
I had actually discovered a royal secret.
Does the Crown Prince love his own sister?
No wonder he was always so kind to me and treated me like a sister; it was because of his love for her.
Good heavens, it’s over.
I defiled the Crown Prince and even rode him like a horse.
Then the child in my belly… isn’t it an imperial grandson?
My legs went weak, and I felt like my head was about to roll.
