Chapter 6
Chapter 6
But Xin Nan was more resolute than I expected, doing everything in her power to avoid meeting me.
Even when I used every means at my disposal to end up in the same social circle, she would do nothing more than give me a curt nod.
Her attitude was cold and distant, strictly maintaining the boundaries that should exist between a teacher and a student.
The people in those circles were observant.
They all knew what I was after, so they deliberately left us alone to give us some private space.
Every time I tried to take a step further, however, Xin Nan would point her phone at me.
“Professor, do you want to be ruined?”
“The past is settled. Do you want to go down in flames with me now?”
She had found my Achilles’ heel.
I had always valued my reputation above all else; I couldn’t tolerate even the slightest blemish on my record.
But in this world, no problem is without a solution.
I checked Xin Nan’s files.
I tracked down the location of her hometown.
Then, I bought a plane ticket for the next day and flew directly there.
People of the older generation have a natural, innate reverence for high-level intellectuals.
Once her grandmother learned of my status, she nearly fell to her knees in respect.
She slaughtered chickens and ducks for a feast, then pulled out her old-fashioned cell phone to call Xin Nan.
“Little one, when are you coming back?”
“Your teacher is here at our house.”
“He says your grades are excellent and wanted to come interview me.”
“It’s such an honor; all the neighbors are watching.”
“Little one, you’ve really made something of yourself.”
Xin Nan’s grandmother wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes with her sleeve as she spoke.
The moment the call ended, I received a message from Xin Nan.
“My grandmother is old. Don’t do anything reckless. I’m coming back right now.”
I put my phone away without replying.
At dawn the next day, Xin Nan rushed back, looking exhausted from the journey.
The dark circles under her eyes hadn’t faded; she must have traveled through the night.
She was still young, after all-unable to keep her composure.
The moment she arrived, she looked at me with a guarded expression, asking if I had said anything to her grandmother.
Before I could speak, her grandmother came out of the house to greet her.
Xin Nan observed her for a long while, and only after confirming that her grandmother seemed fine did she step aside and invite me into the house.
While Xin Nan was cooking, I went in to help her.
She looked at me with a face full of resentment.
“Professor, I never thought you were this kind of person.”
“It’s truly… disgusting.”
I let out a soft scoff.
“Human nature is inherently evil, isn’t it?”
“I lived the first half of my life in a very repressed way, strictly disciplined and proper.”
“It was you who unleashed my desires.”
As I spoke, I reached my hand toward Xin Nan’s chest.
Before I could touch her, the faint sound of footsteps came from the doorway.
I composed myself instantly, naturally picking up the dishes from the stove.
There was no need to rush with a lamb led to the slaughter.
This place was remote and desolate; the nearest hotel was in a town thirty kilometers away.
It was too much trouble.
So, I stayed at Xin Nan’s house.
That night, I traced the cracks in the wall with my fingers.
Xin Nan was staying in the room right across from mine.
It was hard not to let my mind wander.
I checked the time on my phone.
In the dead of night, once I was certain Xin Nan’s grandmother was asleep, I pushed open the door to Xin Nan’s room.
As I expected, she wasn’t asleep yet.
By the moonlight, I saw her glaring at me with pure hatred.
I ignored it and reached out to wrap an arm around her shoulder.
“Such a good girl. Did you know I was coming?”
“Is that why you stayed awake just to wait for me?”
After saying that, I bit her ear.
Xin Nan’s body gave a violent shudder, and she instinctively tried to push me away.
“Don’t move.”
I pinned her hands down.
“You know the soundproofing in your house isn’t good.”
“Your grandmother is a light sleeper. What will happen if you wake her up?”
“How would you explain it to her?”
“Tell her that the granddaughter she’s so proud of climbed into her mentor’s bed just to stay in the big city?”
“Could she handle that?”
Xin Nan stared at me fixedly. She didn’t speak, nor did she resist any further.
She let me push her down onto the bed.
Throughout the entire ordeal, she was like a wooden doll, staring at me motionlessly as I undressed her.
She watched me, unmoving, as I entered her and violated her.
