Chapter 1

At 6:30 PM, Pei Yuchuan, who always came home on time, was late.

My heart leaped with joy, and I skillfully took out my phone to probe where he was.

“Darling, I miss you so much! Are you on your way home?”

After sending it, I closed my eyes.

With a devout expression, I prayed that Pei Yuchuan would have a business engagement or be on a business trip tonight.

I stood under the showerhead and just applied fragrant body wash.

“Click,” the bathroom door opened.

Footsteps came from behind, and a scorching gaze fixed on my completely naked body.

While inwardly cursing “you pervert” in a cowardly manner.

I frantically wrapped myself in a bathrobe and tried to sneak out of the bathroom.

The fact that the body wash wasn’t rinsed off was a minor issue.

I only knew that if I didn’t leave, the dog of a man would turn into a beast.

“Darling, are you going to take a shower? Perfect timing, I just finished. You go ahead…”

As we were about to pass each other, he reached out and grabbed my waist, pulling me into his embrace with force.

Just as I gasped in fright, his breath hitched, and he lifted me with one arm, heading back into the bathroom.

He turned the showerhead back on.

The warm water soaked my bathrobe and his suited figure.

Pei Yuchuan yanked off his tie, his eyes staring intently at me.

“You’re wet. Take another shower with me.”

I shook my head hurriedly.

But his quick hands pulled open my bathrobe.

A warm, calloused hand slipped inside the robe, moving upward.

In no time, I, who had wanted to refuse, had already melted in his arms.

Refusing to give up, I muttered cowardly and softly:

“You must be tired from your social engagement. I feel for you. Let’s do it next time!”

Pei Yuchuan paused in the action of undressing with one hand, his eyes slightly widening.

He cleared his throat lightly, putting on a very reluctant expression.

“Fine, then you do the work later.”

Was that what I meant?

My dumbfounded expression amused Pei Yuchuan.

He chuckled lowly and kissed my lips.

Then moving downward.

“Song Song, you didn’t rinse off the body wash. It’s a bit bitter…”

I gasped and flared up slightly:

“Then don’t kiss me!”

When I woke up again, he was no longer beside me.

The sound of water came from the bathroom.

It was someone in his group chat with his buddies, tagging him:

“For real? Don’t tell me you’re showing off your love again.”

That narcissistic Pei Yuchuan actually shows off his romantic life?

Listening for the ongoing sounds from the bathroom,

“@Pei Yuchuan, haven’t heard you complain about Wen Song being clingy lately. Have you gotten used to it?”

He even attached a screenshot of the chat where I had asked when he was coming home.

I could get money and break up.
