The red candles burned, and the Seductress Spirit’s lewd cries carried on just as long, mingling with Seventh Senior Brother’s unrestrained moans as he called her “sweetheart” and “darling” until midnight.

I couldn’t believe it. Seventh Senior Brother had admired Senior Sister since childhood. How could he defile her like this with a Seductress Spirit?

Birds resting behind the courtyard flapped their wings restlessly, seeking quieter places.

Unable to bear it any longer, I wanted to kick the door open and charge in.

But outside the window, I heard a crisp slap.

Seventh Senior Brother was lying on top of the Seductress Spirit, indulging in her embrace while grabbing her hair and slapping her face hard.

He panted and cursed:

“I held you in my heart, but you never looked at me straight. You’re just a woman. What do you have to be proud of?”

My heart sank, and I suddenly understood why Senior Sister always urged me to cultivate and see the wider world.

The world men build for themselves is painfully small.

Seventh Senior Brother took out his desire on the Seductress Spirit.

He treated her as Senior Sister, using a man’s power over a woman to debase and humiliate her.

Everything he couldn’t get from Senior Sister, he got from a Seductress Spirit that looked exactly like her.

I went cold all over, drew my sword, and rushed in. I pressed the blade against his neck, trembling as I demanded:

“No wonder Senior Sister never said a word to you. Having such filthy thoughts about Senior Sister, don’t you find yourself disgusting?”

Seventh Senior Brother hastily pulled up his pants and shrank into the corner of the bed.

He didn’t think he had done anything wrong. He laughed arrogantly:

“Ji Mingzhen looked down on me because she was holding out for a higher bidder, trying to find a man who could offer more.

“All women are like that. Are you any different from Ji Mingzhen?

“Pretending to be pure, but actually a slut!”

I thrust my sword at him. He threw the filthy blanket at me, dodged, and fled while holding up his pants, laughing loudly.

I wanted to chase him, but the Seductress Spirit grabbed me.

She was lying on Senior Sister’s bed, still trembling and panting.

I looked at her with disgust:

“You used my Senior Sister’s skin to do such despicable things, and you still expect me to let you go?”

She said nothing, wiped the hot sweat from her forehead, and covered her disheveled body with her clothes.

Then she took a plum candy from a box and, without asking, stuffed it into my mouth.

Her brows curved, and she said, “It’s clean.”

The sweet-and-sour taste of the plum candy spread from my tongue to my heart.

For a moment, I couldn’t tell if she was the Seductress Spirit or my Senior Sister.

She leaned close, her voice seductive:

“Seductress Spirits have their own rules, but do you want to avenge your Senior Sister with your own hands?”
