Mo Madam regained her freedom and immediately rushed over to embrace her daughter.

“Weiwei, wake up, look at Mom…”

In her heart, Mo Madam hated her daughter for causing her husband to end up like this, but at this moment, seeing her daughter in such a state, all she felt was pain and sorrow, leaving no room for resentment or blame.

It was all her fault. If only she hadn’t spoiled her child so much, if she had stopped her daughter when she first discovered she was raising ghosts, things wouldn’t have escalated to this point!

Mo Madam’s tears fell like rain, her heart full of regret.

Xia Sheng said, “Stop crying. She’s not dead; she’ll wake up in a while.”

After speaking, she walked to the bedside, casually tossed a Talisman Paper onto the barely breathing Mr. Mo, formed a hand seal, and performed a spell.

Mo Madam turned her head, her eyes wide with disbelief, momentarily forgetting to cry.

This young lady actually possessed the ability to heal the dead and restore flesh to bone!

On her husband’s previously hollow abdomen, new flesh was actually growing!

“Master, Master, since you can save my husband, can you also heal my daughter’s injuries? As long as you help my daughter, I’ll agree to anything you ask!”

Her daughter’s greatest concern was her face, and now, having turned into this neither-human-nor-ghost appearance, how could her daughter have the courage to go on living?

Xia Sheng did not respond, but instead looked at Shen Ze.

She didn’t care what would become of Mo Wei, but Shen Ze was the victim in all this. Whether or not to save Mo Wei should be his decision.

Shen Ze understood Xia Sheng’s meaning, hesitated for a moment, and said, “Little Celestial Master, please help them.”

After all, Mo Wei was his cousin, and Shen Ze couldn’t bring himself to be ruthless.

Xia Sheng nodded and said to Mo Madam, “Ten million. Tomorrow you can send someone to collect the medicine.”

The Mo Family was not some prestigious clan; ten million was already a huge sum for them.

Moreover, today Shen Ze had said that all future cooperation between the two families would be canceled, and the Mo Family’s situation would only get harder from now on.

But for her daughter’s sake, Mo Madam couldn’t care about any of that now and agreed through her tears.

“Alright, I’ll contact my company right now and have the finance department transfer the money to you.”

Xia Sheng continued, “Your daughter was possessed by a ghost today and nearly killed her own father. She will remember this.

If you don’t want her to commit suicide out of fear and remorse, you’d better keep a close watch on her.”

Upon hearing this, Mo Madam’s face turned pale. “Master, is there any way to make my daughter forget about this? She’s only seventeen; this kind of thing is too much of a shock for her…”

Xia Sheng replied coldly, “She tried to take Shen Ze’s life. This punishment is already light.”

She did have Talismans that could make someone forget a period of memory, but she didn’t want to waste them on Mo Wei.

Some people, if they don’t suffer a little, will only become a menace when they grow up.

After this incident, Mo Wei probably wouldn’t dare to do anything outrageous again.

Mo Madam was speechless and began to cry again.

What happened today would become a lifelong psychological shadow for her daughter.

What if her daughter couldn’t get over it…

Xia Sheng showed no sympathy for Mo Madam’s tears and left with Shen Ze.

Once in the car, Shen Ze let out a heavy sigh, his heart full of melancholy, yet unable to express it.

“Little Celestial Master, did you foresee things turning out this way and deliberately not come straight to the hospital, letting Mo Wei hurt her own father as punishment?”

Xia Sheng had spent a lot of energy saving Mr. Mo and leaned tiredly against the car window. “No. Things are always changing and developing.

Because I intervened, the situation deviated from its original course. I hadn’t expected that the Female Ghost would directly attack Mr. Mo.”

Originally, the one who was supposed to die was Shen Ze, but because she got involved, Mr. Mo almost lost his life today.

But even if she hadn’t intervened, once the Fierce Ghost drained all of Shen Ze’s vitality and grew stronger, it would probably have harmed even more people.
After hearing Xia Sheng’s words, Shen Ze’s guilt completely disappeared.

His uncle was just as much a victim in this matter as he was. If he were still being used by the Little Celestial Master, that would be too pitiful.

“Little Celestial Master, what’s your bank account number? I’ll have someone transfer your payment.”

Xia Sheng gave her account number, and within moments, her phone buzzed with a notification.

She glanced at it-ten million.

Adding the ten million from the Mo Family, she had received twenty million today.

Her body, which had felt a bit tired just moments ago, seemed instantly recharged, fully revived.

The Capital City truly was full of wealthy people. Back when she followed her Master in the village, reading fortunes and treating illnesses, the most she ever received was a hundred.

She put away her phone and looked at Shen Ze as if she were looking at a stack of cash. “Let’s work together again if there’s a chance.”

Shen Ze: He’d already lost half his life from fright today; he didn’t want a next time.

It was about lunchtime now, and Shen Ze planned to treat Xia Sheng to a meal before sending her back.

Xia Sheng sent Fang Rong a message saying she’d return in the afternoon, then followed Shen Ze to the restaurant.

As soon as they got out of the car, a Cayenne pulled up in front of them.

Seeing the person get out, Shen Ze’s heart skipped a beat. Instinctive respect made him want to pull Xia Sheng away and hide.

But Xia Sheng’s eyes lit up. Instead of following him, she called out to attract the man’s attention.

“Ninth Master!”

Shen Yanchen looked over. Seeing the young girl standing by the roadside, his cold, stern features softened a little.

His gaze fell on the hand Shen Ze was holding, then quickly and discreetly moved away.

Shen Ze noticed that look and shivered all over, instantly letting go of the Little Celestial Master’s hand and respectfully greeting, “Uncle Nine.”

Shen Ze feared nothing-except his Uncle Nine. Just a glance from him was overwhelming; his heart thudded wildly.

He’d never been scolded or punished by Uncle Nine, but the man’s aura naturally exerted invisible pressure, making people nervous and unable to meet his eyes.

Shen Yanchen responded indifferently, saying nothing more.

Shen Ze stood stiffly in place. “Uncle Nine, I’ve reserved a restaurant with the Little Celestial Master, so we’ll go ahead…”

Shen Yanchen: “Together.”

Shen Ze’s scalp tingled.

Before he could refuse, Xia Sheng immediately agreed, “Sure!”

She’d expended a lot today, and the ghost she swallowed wasn’t even enough for a snack.

Following Shen Ninth Master meant free Baleful Qi to eat-what a wonderful thing.

Seeing Xia Sheng agree, Shen Ze could only grit his teeth and follow.

Xia Sheng stuck close to Shen Yanchen, quietly nibbling away at the Baleful Qi around him.

Once inside the private room, Shen Ze obsequiously pulled out a chair for Shen Yanchen. “Uncle Nine, please sit.”

Shen Yanchen: “It’s just a meal. No need to be so formal.”

Shen Ze smiled without replying.

He wanted to relax, too.

But just seeing Uncle Nine’s face made him nervous!

It was biological instinct-he couldn’t help it!

After Shen Yanchen sat down, Shen Ze turned to invite Xia Sheng to sit opposite him at the round table. But when he looked up, he saw Xia Sheng had already chosen the seat closest to Shen Yanchen.

Shen Ze’s eyelid twitched. He walked over to Xia Sheng and bent down to whisper, “Little Celestial Master, my Uncle Nine doesn’t like people getting too close. Come sit opposite me.”

Xia Sheng was puzzled. “Really?”

Shen Ze nodded earnestly.

Xia Sheng turned to ask Shen Yanchen, “Do you really dislike people being close to you?”

Shen Ze: “…”

Why did she just turn and ask him directly!?

What if Uncle Nine thought he’d been badmouthing him?

Shen Yanchen didn’t even glance at Shen Ze. He poured Xia Sheng a cup of tea and replied calmly, “I don’t dislike it.”

Shen Ze stared blankly at his Uncle Nine.

At New Year’s dinner, you pushed me away-weren’t you saying the opposite then!

Hmph, men!

Looks like what he thought last night was right-this old bull really does want to eat young grass!
