Chapter 2
Upon entering the house, I headed straight to the study to handle the backlog of documents.
When I finally returned to my bedroom, I was startled to see Shen Yunxing standing there.
In front of him sat a basin of… foot-soaking water.
He was standing frozen in the middle of my room, dazed. My heart sank when I saw what he was holding in his hands.
It was his pajamas. He was an incredibly sentimental man; he could wear the same pair of pajamas from his college days until four years into our marriage.
Anyone who didn’t know better would think our family was on the brink of bankruptcy.
He turned to look at me, a flicker of confusion crossing his eyes.
“Aren’t you married? Why are my things in your room?”
“Besides… your room is filled with the scent of my pheromones.”
I smiled and stepped forward, grabbing his collar to pull him close.
The tips of his ears flushed red, and he averted his eyes awkwardly. “What… what are you doing?”
My fingertips traced circles over his firm chest.
“Ever since I got married, my husband has been abroad.”
“As you know, an Omega’s heat is difficult to endure. I also need someone to satisfy my physical needs.”
He froze at my words, looking utterly stunned. “So, am I your mistress?”
“Or would ‘plaything’ be more accurate?”
I opened my mouth to speak, but before I could say a word, I saw him lower his gaze. A layer of gloom settled over the corners of his eyes.
His voice was somber. “A plaything… that’s fine too.”
Seeing his pitiful expression, I felt a twinge of guilt. I wondered if I was taking this prank too far.
Shen Yunxing was such a proud man.
To wake up and find himself a servant and a part-time side piece-would the blow be too much for him?
But in the next instant, I was pulled violently into a firm embrace.
With a sense of fierce desperation and total resolve, he pressed his lips against mine.
He showed no mercy as he plundered my mouth.
