Chapter 4

Shi Jianjin rejected my suggestion to accompany him to the doctor.

He had me take a box of medicine out of his desk.

He said it would help bring down his fever.

I obediently followed his instructions, pouring the water and giving him the medicine.

I didn’t leave quietly until he had fallen asleep.

Before I left, I took the empty medicine box with me.

The writing on the box was entirely in English.

I didn’t recognize most of it.

Vitamin.

This word… hmm, it means “vitamin,” right?

Leave it to imported medicine to not only break a fever but supplement vitamins too. Impressive.

That night, I had a dream.

We were kissing in Shi Jianjin’s bedroom, the bathroom, the dining room.

The scenery shifted constantly.

He was repressed, restrained.

Those eyes of his, usually filled with stars, were now clouded with lust because of me.

“Mengtang, Mengtang, stop licking the ice cream. Lick me instead.”

His voice was as beautiful as ever, only incredibly raspy.

As if under a spell, I opened my mouth.

His body was scorching, as if he were on fire.

I heard that muffled groan again.

He seemed to be in bliss.

Suddenly, a rush of warmth.

I woke with a start, switched on the light, and got up to check.

My period had arrived.

That snapped me wide awake.

Good god, what was I dreaming about?

How could I desecrate a god like him?

If Shi Jianjin ever found out, he’d think I was absolutely revolting.
