I had just finished showering and was squatting on the floor, scraping up water and my fallen hair, when I suddenly heard a commotion outside.

It sounded like the Oldest Sister from our Dormitory.

She said, “Is anyone home?”

I was just about to answer.

Suddenly, I heard her say, “What are you doing…”

Then there were three dull thuds-thump, thump, thump-accompanied by the Oldest Sister’s short, sharp scream.

I was so frightened that my phone slipped right into the squat toilet next to me…

My instinct was to shout.

But then I heard a rough voice: “Bitch! Not so tough with me now, are you!”

In that instant, I felt all the blood in my body freeze.

It was Wang Ning, Third Sister’s boyfriend!

It sounded like he had used something to beat the Oldest Sister to death!

From the noises, he was cleaning up the scene, but in our Dormitory, only the bathroom had access to water!

In that moment, my body reacted almost automatically and instinctively. I quietly opened the bathroom door, then climbed out the window.

Our Dormitory was on the fifth floor.

Once I got out, I had nowhere to go.

Luckily, there was a small section of beam outside, just wide enough for me to stand on.

My heart was pounding and my legs were shaking. I clung to the water pipe, not daring to move an inch.

Sure enough, after a while, Wang Ning came into the bathroom to get water to clean up the scene.

He was only a wall away from me. I was pressed against the wall, and through half of the window, I could faintly see his figure.

Fortunately, maybe because the door was open and the floor had been cleaned, he didn’t realize someone had just been there.
