[They say Ghost Mother Junior is the school’s infamous ‘bus,’ and you can lure her to bed with just a piece of candy.]

[Hahaha, that’s hilarious, seven kids? Calabash Brothers Team?]

[You girls always say childbirth is so hard and painful, so how did the Ghost Mother give birth in the bathroom?]

There are no clues about the Ghost Mother.

No name, no record.

Most of the bullet comments are vulgar, associating her with many girls from their school days who behaved indiscreetly.

According to Zhao Ying’s recollection, the Ghost Mother doesn’t attack players directly, but manipulates the Ghost Child to kill.

“But with bosses like this, you usually kill the mother body first, and the little ghosts are powerless.”

One more day until the final exam.

At night, we were flipping through newspapers in the library.

“That day you said, the Ghost Mother didn’t attack Cheng Jing…

“Could it be…”

Suddenly, all the lights went out, plunging us into complete darkness.

I heard the sound of dripping, like water drops falling to the ground.

Zhao Ying looked up and wiped some water that had dripped onto her head.

Umbilical cords were densely crawling over the ceiling, writhing like arthropod limbs.

And the Ghost Mother’s face hung down, like a giant spider with a human face parasitizing its back.

As she looked up, Zhao Ying came face to face with the Ghost Mother.

Zhao Ying screamed sharply, paralyzed by fear.

“Run!”

Li Ye shoved Zhao Ying hard.

She snapped out of it as if waking from a dream and ran upstairs with us.

The Ghost Mother didn’t chase her. She opened her hollow mouth, counting the Ghost Child connected by umbilical cords.

After counting to seven, she became manic.

Suddenly remembering Zhao Ying, the Ghost Mother dragged herself and slowly crawled upstairs.

[I’ve watched so many horror streams. The safest place is the Monitoring Room.]

[Because the Monitoring Room is the omniscient perspective, usually an Anomaly won’t go in.]

[The scariest place is the bathroom. That’s certain death.]

Zhao Ying also saw the bullet comments and rushed into the Monitoring Room ahead of me.

She was strong, forcefully pushed me out of the Monitoring Room, and quickly locked it from inside.

She laughed smugly behind the door:

“Xu Xin, survival of the fittest-that’s the law of survival in a horror world.”

Li Ye and I exchanged glances. Only the bathroom and the conference room were left on the second floor.

“Don’t get separated, let’s stick together,” Li Ye warned me. “Go to the conference room. It’s closer to the Escape Route. I checked before, the Escape Route is always open, there’s no problem.”

[Li Ye has recovered his memory?]

[If the Fire Exit is blocked or locked, it’ll be deadly in a fire or earthquake.]

Li Ye and I hid in the conference room.

I could hear the Ghost Child giggling in the hallway and the Ghost Mother’s breathing, doors being opened one by one.

Time passed excruciatingly slowly.

The stream switched to Zhao Ying’s perspective at the right moment.

In the Monitoring Room, she stared at the Ghost Mother’s actions, watching her open each room one by one.

Reading Room, bathroom, office…

Zhao Ying stared hard at the monitor, but in the blink of an eye-

The Ghost Mother suddenly vanished from the monitor.

“No, no…”

Zhao Ying hurriedly rewound the footage.

The playback was all static, as if the signal had been deliberately jammed.

Did the Ghost Mother just disappear?

Zhao Ying refreshed again, and suddenly the screen flickered and the image became clear.

The Ghost Mother had passed through the reading room, bathroom, office…

And then disappeared-

In the Monitoring Room.

Unknown, extreme terror broke Zhao Ying down.

“Why is it only chasing me?

“Why won’t it leave me alone!”

No one answered her.

Only her own voice echoed through the entire Monitoring Room.

Zhao Ying looked at herself on the monitor, swallowed nervously, and turned around trembling. Behind her was a snow-white wall.

No one.

The Anomaly had left.

She breathed a sigh of relief.

Suddenly, two drops of foul, bloody liquid dripped onto her hand.

Zhao Ying looked up blankly.

The eighth umbilical cord, like a steel rod, shot straight down from the ceiling into her mouth, piercing right through her body.

Blood dripped to the floor. The Ghost Mother sniffed Zhao Ying, showing a confused expression.

Zhao Ying coughed up a mouthful of blood and went still.
