We were college roommates, as close as sisters who shared everything. How could it be her?

My mother suddenly got worked up. “After you ran away from the wedding, I went to apologize to Weizhi. That’s when I saw her telling Gu Weizhi that you were only with him for his money and that you had someone you truly loved on the outside. I recorded the whole thing!”

She immediately tapped on a video.

On a wedding bench, Gu Weizhi sat with his back slumped in dejection while Su Wanru distressedly stroked his back to comfort him.

“Keep your mouth clean! If anyone spreads rumors about Shanshan, they’ll have to answer to me!”

She was cheerful and magnanimous. Seeing my awkwardness, she even took the initiative to comfort me. “Forget it, he’s just a man. Do I look like the type to fall out with my Best Friend over a guy? There are plenty of fish in the sea.”
