I pushed open the Dormitory door.

There were no Footsteps around; the Corridor was deathly silent.

I tentatively stepped out of the Dormitory and walked forward a few steps.

Suddenly, a voice sounded behind me.

“Ruanruan.”

I whipped around, meeting a pair of eyes.

Wu Lan’s hair hung loose; in the darkness, her pupils were so black and large, it was as if they filled her entire eye socket.

She just looked at me quietly, her tone haunting.

“Ruanruan, are you afraid of me?”

My heart nearly leapt out of my throat. Instinctively, I turned and ran.

I sprinted down the Corridor, but the Footsteps behind me grew closer and closer.

Finally, as I rounded the Corridor corner, I left behind the Mobile Phone I used to call Xiaoran and Ji Zhao, turned on the ringtone of another Mobile Phone, and threw it out.

The Mobile Phone slid across the floor like a bowling ball, the piano ringtone sounding both beautiful and eerie in the night.

The next second, I darted into the nearby Washroom and slammed the door shut.

The Footsteps slowly passed by the door, following the direction of the Mobile Phone’s ringtone.

I exhaled deeply, turning to lean against the door.

And then I came face to face with someone.

Qin Xiao was standing behind me.

We both opened our mouths wide, then realized we couldn’t scream, forcing the sound back down.

Qin Xiao covered her mouth, gesturing to ask me: [What happened outside?]

I didn’t speak, sizing up Qin Xiao.

Qin Xiao’s hair was disheveled, her glasses were half broken, and there was a large bruise on her forehead, the wound still oozing blood.

I gestured back: [What happened to you?]

Qin Xiao raised her Mobile Phone and typed a message for me.

[Sister Lan came to the Washroom with me. I was washing up, and she suddenly attacked me.

[I must have passed out. I just woke up when you came in.

[What’s going on? Is Sister Lan a serial killer?!]

I opened my mouth, not knowing what to say. In the end, I could only shake my head weakly.

Qin Xiao thought I didn’t believe her, so she quickly typed: [Don’t doubt me, I always thought Sister Lan was suspicious! There was so much blood on her Lab Protective Suit. I asked her, and she said it was from the White Mouse in the lab.

[How could a White Mouse have that much blood? I’m sure it’s human blood.]

I stared at her: [Did you call the police?]

Qin Xiao shook her head and kept typing: [How could I dare? I was thinking I’d rent a place outside first, and when Wu Lan couldn’t find me, I’d call the police…]

Seeing my cold expression, she quickly apologized, [Sorry, Ruanruan, I didn’t mean to keep it from you guys. I was just too scared, worried she’d retaliate against me.

[Ruanruan, what should we do now? Lier is still in the Dormitory…]

I bit my lip, stepped back, and whispered, “Lier is already dead.”

Qin Xiao covered her mouth, her eyes wide open.

She started trembling all over.

“Then what should we do…”

Just then, behind us, the Restroom door was knocked three times.

Thud.

Thud.

Thud.

Then, a haunting voice sounded outside the door.

“Ruanruan, I’m coming in.”
