Chapter 2

Something about this was weird.

He just couldn’t sleep with me. When you got down to it, it was psychological.

If he were anyone else, I’d have broken up with him a long time ago.

But he was the one who wired me money every month.

So I couldn’t dump him.

I had no choice but to look for a side fling.

It didn’t take long before I set my sights on Guo Bin, a student athlete.

Just like that, he became my other boyfriend-and he knew about me and Xu Jiacheng.

When he found out, his eyes lit up with that clear, shining stupidity.

“Do you think it’s possible he might like men too?”

“I want him to wire me money too.”

Thankfully, Xu Jiacheng’s company was usually busy as hell.

That was the only reason my relationship with Guo Bin stayed hidden so smoothly without the slightest crack.

This summer vacation happened to be the busiest season for Xu Jiacheng’s company.

He’d booked two cruise tickets early, but in the end he couldn’t come with me.

He felt so guilty he told me to find someone to come along.

So I could only bring Guo Bin with me.

I told Xu Jiacheng my bestie was coming with me, and I even rehearsed the lines with my actual bestie.

Honestly, after making some money these past few years, I’d wanted to bring her along for real.

But tickets for this cruise were basically impossible to get-you had to book half a year in advance.

I searched online, and there wasn’t any ticketing info for this ship at all.

So my plan was to find a pretty girl onboard who looked like my bestie.

I’d take a photo of her from behind as proof, just to get by.

As soon as we boarded, Guo Bin said he was starving, so we headed to the ship’s restaurant.

There was every kind of food you could want, but you placed orders on a tablet.

Guo Bin and I ordered five dishes and ate at a leisurely pace.

My gaze kept sweeping the room, trying to spot a girl who might work.

But before I found one, I saw a middle-aged auntie ordering a whole table of food.

She was clearly alone, yet she ordered more than a dozen dishes.

The dishes already served had filled up her table, and she kept going.

The waiter didn’t show the slightest irritation, just kept placing orders on the tablet like she asked.

Once everything was served, plates were stacked on plates, teetering so badly they could barely stay put.

Then she started wolfing it down-king crab leg in her left hand, a chunk of tuna in her right.

On a luxury cruise of this caliber, there were still people so eager for small bargains they’d lose all sense of decency.

Disgusted, I looked away from her.

I was about to keep searching when Guo Bin, stuffed and satisfied, dragged me back to our suite.
