Lin Yuezhou started coming home early.

On the first day, he brought me a bouquet of my favorite lisianthus.

On the second day, he canceled a gathering to accompany me to eat my favorite hotpot.

On the third day, he went to the gym with me to work out together.

On the fourth day, we ate at home-he cooked.

…

On the last day, I made an appointment with Song Jiaojiao.

She showed up an hour late.

With her makeup perfectly done, she sat down in front of me and immediately mocked:

“Why aren’t you at home keeping an eye on Lin Yuezhou? You actually have time to ask me out?”

“Are you here to warn me not to contact Lin Yuezhou anymore?”

“It’s useless to come to me. After all, I won’t control who he befriends.”

She let out a light laugh, her tone brimming with unconcealed pride.

As if to say, I’m going to steal your husband-what can you do about it?

Suddenly, I raised my hand and slapped her.

The surroundings fell silent; only the crisp sound echoed in the air.

Song Jiaojiao covered her face, stunned. She looked at me in disbelief and gritted her teeth as she asked:

“What gives you the right to hit me!”

I calmly wiped my hand and replied in an even voice, “You went on a trip with my husband and kissed him. Shouldn’t I hit you?”

Her face turned pale, then she sneered:

“You just found out?”

“My Weibo posts were meant for you to see.”

“Feelings can’t be locked down with just a certificate.”

I took a sip of coffee and looked at her nonchalantly:

“As you wished, Lin Yuezhou and I are preparing for a divorce.”

Seeing the triumphant smile slowly curl on her lips, I continued:

“But he doesn’t agree.”

“I told him, as long as he doesn’t contact you for a week, I’ll never mention divorce again.”

“Today is the last day.”

Watching Song Jiaojiao’s disappointed and unwilling expression, I stood up and smiled at her:

“Let’s see if you have what it takes to make him break our agreement for you.”

“I’ll be watching.”

Song Jiaojiao shouted at my back:

“Li Li, just you wait!”
