chapter 5
As everyone knows, Vampires dislike sunlight, especially those in a horror instance.
Therefore, the Ancient Castle was built in a place shrouded in clouds all year round.
In the Garden, black roses drooped like eggplants struck by frost, listless and wilted.
I arrived right on time at seven o’clock, only to find that a few Players were still missing, oblivious to the danger. I couldn’t help but sigh:
“They’re so considerate. Wener Butler has worked hard for the Wedding preparations; breaking a few bones to relieve his stress wouldn’t be so bad.”
“Squeak~” The Little Bat echoed in agreement.
“Miss Tiyati.”
It was the Glasses Man, who had spoken to me first yesterday. “May I ask what we need to do next?”
“It’s very simple.”
I picked up a small watering can and showed it to them.
As the thick, crimson Irrigation Liquid inside was sprinkled onto the flowers, the black petals gradually became tinged with red.
“Black and red roses are Lady Ledros’s favorite. You’ve arrived at just the right time; these flowers need to be fed every ten days. At their current metabolic rate, they should be at their most charming for the Wedding.”
I poured out all the Irrigation Liquid from the can, smiling brightly at the Players:
“Because of the Garden’s size, I’ll need each guest to help tend to one square meter of flowerbed. These flowers are very obedient-they’ll recognize and confirm their own gardener.”
“Due to the lack of staff in the Ancient Castle, if there isn’t enough Irrigation Liquid, I’m afraid you’ll have to prepare it yourselves. They prefer ‘red’ Irrigation Liquid, so please don’t be perfunctory.”
“The best feeding time for the flowers is before eight o’clock. If it’s really difficult, please try to feed them by twelve at the latest. Otherwise, they’ll seek food on their own, which can be quite exhausting for their gardeners.”
I watched the varied expressions of the Players, giving them the spiritual encouragement of an NPC in a Welfare Dungeon:
“Diligent gardeners will be loved by the flowers. I’m sure that’s an easy task for such enthusiastic guests.”
“Miss Tiyati.” A Fat Man with a kindly smile called out to me just as I was about to leave.
Just like last night, he tried to get some useful information from me: “For a ‘perfect’ Wedding, the flowers’ dietary health is very important. Could you tell us the ingredients for the Irrigation Liquid, so we can best ensure their health?”
I pretended to think, then showed a hint of apology on my face: “There are many ingredients for Irrigation Liquid, but I’m sorry, I’ve only just arrived and only know ‘Blood’ as the most common type.”
The Players’ faces instantly turned ugly.
But that didn’t affect my good mood at all.
