chapter 3
Standing in front of the full-length mirror, I reached out and touched the surface with my fingertip.
The ordinary-looking girl with freckles instantly shattered into pieces, and those fragments transformed into one scene after another.
-Those were the scenes inside the Players’ rooms.
Filtering out the Players who seemed obviously useless, I focused on observing the few who held the core positions among the Players.
Most of them were using the not-so-important information they knew to comfort their companions.
“The Welfare Dungeon, as the name suggests, is a type of instance that is highly beneficial for Players.”
“It usually selects instances that Players have already cleared, the death rate drops significantly, and the points earned for clearing it are several times that of a regular instance.”
“The path to survival in a Welfare Dungeon is laid out in the open. If there are no anomalies in the instance, just relying on the known information is enough for us to clear it…”
Soon after, they began to piece together the half-true, half-false words they had coaxed out of me, and, based on their previous experience, formulated plans that seemed useful but would be useless if something actually happened.
Even my act of monitoring their behavior here felt somewhat foolish.
But cunning humans are always full of schemes.
None of them told their companions that [just like regular instances, the higher the level of a Welfare Dungeon, the more dangerous it is compared to lower-level Welfare Dungeons].
In an SSS Level Welfare Dungeon, it’s still very easy to die.
It’s not the smart ones you need to worry about, but the fools who think they’re clever.
I had no intention of messing up the Wedding that supported the entire main storyline of the instance.
After careful consideration, I pressed my palm against the mirror. The cracks in the reflection mended, and the plain, unremarkable girl reappeared.
“Keep an eye on them. If anyone acts out of line, let me know.”
The girl in the mirror smiled and nodded, then quickly vanished from sight.
After handling this matter, I glanced toward the bed.
A small lump bulged and squirmed from time to time.
I really couldn’t help but suspect this guy’s Vampire bloodline.
Even more dog-like than a Werewolf.
Moving quietly, I slipped out of the room, closed the door at lightning speed, and cast a Restriction over the entire room.
Not only could no one get out, but even his voice couldn’t escape.
No matter how loudly he cried, it wouldn’t disturb my sleep.
