chapter 2
It was already late when I returned to my room.
As soon as I pushed open the door, someone pulled me into their arms. Warm breath brushed against my neck, followed by a damp sensation and a sharp sting from something gently grazing my skin.
“I’ve been waiting for you for so long.”
The slightly cool voice was full of aggrieved complaint.
I couldn’t see behind me, but through the Moonlight, I could clearly make out the overlapping shadows of two people cast on the window.
That guy, seeing I didn’t push him away, wore an almost undisguised look of triumph on his face.
I gently stroked his long hair. “Do you need me to kiss you and apologize?”
The young man’s red eyes lit up.
Before I could glance at the window again, the world spun, and I was placed on the bed.
I sat at the edge of the bed as the silver-haired, red-eyed youth half-knelt and leaned in. “Where should I be kissed?”
My fingers brushed from his eyes down to his chin. “Close your eyes.”
He obediently closed his eyes.
-And then received a flick to the forehead.
“Boris, appearing in a lady’s room at midnight is very improper.”
Boris looked utterly aggrieved. “But I invited you to my room, and you refused.”
Expressionless, I slapped him again, just as I had when he first extended the invitation.
“Do you really think your invitation was appropriate?”
Boris’s nose twitched. Eyes still closed, he leaned in again. “Then I was wrong. If you’re still angry, you can hit me a few more times.”
The corner of my mouth twitched as I pushed his face away. “Reflect on yourself. I have important matters to attend to.”
To prevent him from clinging to me and interfering, I warned, “If you don’t want me to throw you out, you’ll behave, right?”
Boris wilted for a moment, then shyly said, “Then can I warm your bed? You know, the Ancient Castle is always a bit cold at night. I feel sorry for you.”
Me: “…”
You know exactly who you’re feeling sorry for!
Boris quickly undressed. “I showered before coming, so I definitely won’t dirty your bed.”
Me: “…”
No wonder the Cain Family insists on marrying into the Rydelos Family, with such a hopeless romantic.
Forget it.
I took a deep breath and, in the end, didn’t kick him out.
At times like this, I almost envy how lucky this guy is.
