Chapter 4
Chapter 4
Qin Juan’s bed was massive and soft.
We were buried deep within it, like butterflies trapped in a cocoon.
Our bodies formed the trunk, our limbs the wings.
With every slight tremor, it felt like life itself was fluttering its wings.
Qin Juan whispered in my ear, “Wanwan, are you sure?”
But I was already beyond the point of reason.
I pointed at the ceiling and said, “It would be better if there were mirrors up there. I want to see you…”
Qin Juan’s eyes darkened slightly, and he covered my mouth with his hand.
“Fine, I’ll take that as a yes.”
His brow furrowed, and he bit his lower lip, his face even redder than mine.
“Is this… your first time?” He hesitated, as if he might stop halfway.
I caught his hand and pulled it back. “Don’t go.”
Our fingers interlaced, tightening one moment and loosening the next.
Perhaps it was the effect of the drug.
I responded to Qin Juan with an intensity that bordered on the abnormal.
I clung to him, tireless, through cycle after cycle.
The sky began to pale.
As the first light of dawn leaked through the curtains, I gradually regained some clarity.
One shouldn’t be this indulgent the first time.
And yet, I couldn’t help but climb back onto Qin Juan once more.
In the end, I passed out.
Qin Juan took me to his family’s private hospital, where they performed a comprehensive battery of tests.
The results eventually showed that I had ingested an excessive amount of prohibited substances.
My hormones were in a state of severe disarray.
Consequently, I would be experiencing a period of prolonged hypersexuality.
I finally understood what they meant in the Spiritual Purification Class about “unstable conditions.”
If I had stayed by Xu Jing’an’s side and continued taking those desire-suppressing drugs, everything would have been fine.
I suspected that this “unstable” rebound effect was designed precisely to maintain the Purification Class’s passive income.
Every graduate’s partner would become long-term dependent on their medication.
I told Qin Juan about the Spiritual Purification Class.
“Xu Jing’an is sick in the head! Why didn’t I see him trying to be Platonic before?”
Qin Juan gripped the test results so hard his knuckles turned white. “Then prescribe her something,” he told the doctor.
The doctor chuckled after a moment. “There’s no need for medicine. She just needs release.”
“Huh?” Qin Juan was stunned.
“Her case is quite severe. Actually, I’d suggest prescribing something for you instead.”
I was drinking water and suddenly broke into a coughing fit.
My cheeks and earlobes burned.
Qin Juan looked back at me and sighed.
He turned to the doctor and said helplessly, “Then… you’d better give me something.”
Qin Juan and I reached a consensus-
“Shi Wan, we’ll end this relationship once your body has recovered.”
Qin Juan’s attitude was perfectly reasonable.
And it suited me perfectly.
While I was waiting for him to pick up the prescription, I unexpectedly ran into Xu Jing’an at the hospital.
He saw me too, and his expression instantly darkened.
“Shi Wan, you dare to stalk me? What exactly are you trying to do?”
He reached out to grab my arm.
I dodged backward.
Even though he only brushed against the back of my hand, I already felt a wave of nausea.
“Xu Jing’an, I’m not stalking you. I’m waiting for someone.”
I bent over and began to retch.
Xu Jing’an froze in place.
From his angle, he could see my collarbone.
It was covered in hickeys of varying shades.
He clenched his fist and slammed it hard against the wall.
His voice trembled.
“This is impossible. You can’t even touch men. You slept with someone? Who the hell was it!”
