“Rise… rise.”

Li Yi was still a bit stunned. How did he suddenly become the Prefect of the Underworld?

“Brother Li, you are now the master of Tongue-Pulling Hell, so of course you deserve to be called Prefect.”

Zhang Na grinned mischievously. She had leveled up again from a Blood-clad Ghost, but even she didn’t know what rank of Fierce Ghost she was now.

So that’s how it was.

After Zhang Na’s explanation, Li Yi finally understood the reason.

It turned out that the Evil Ghost they had encountered earlier at Dajiang Kindergarten was originally a Yinsi from Tongue-Pulling Hell.

After the collapse of the Underworld, he brought a fragment of Tongue-Pulling Hell to the human world, intending to refine the twenty children of Dajiang Kindergarten into Underworld Soldiers, hoping to use this opportunity to break through to the Ghost King level. Zhang Na’s current rank was precisely Ghost King.

Unfortunately for him, Li Yi intercepted at the critical moment. Now Li Yi had become the Prefect of Tongue-Pulling Hell, while Zhang Na replaced him as Ghost King.

As the saying goes, retribution may be slow but it never fails. This Evil Ghost was truly unlucky to run into Li Yi, the immovable tiger, at the key moment.

Li Yi sighed sincerely. Now he was actually looking forward to being targeted by the Spirit Bureau. With Blood-clad like these, he had twenty of them.

After a while, Li Yi received another text message.

“Brother Li, long time no see.”

Li Yi looked at the message and burst out laughing. He thought the Spirit Bureau would have some sophisticated tricks, but it turned out to be a telecom scam.

Fine, he’d play along.

“Are you Wang?”

“Yes, I’m Wang Ba-no, I’m Wang.”

“Hahaha, you’re really funny.” Li Yi sent the message with a deadpan face, holding his phone.

On the other end of the line-

The target has taken the bait!

A dozen Spirit Binders from the Spirit Bureau were gathered together, watching this telecom scam unfold.

Damn it, once I catch you, I’ll show you who the real Wang Ba is.

The Spirit Binder holding the phone had veins bulging on his forehead.

Utter humiliation. This grudge must be avenged.

“Brother Li, I’m your good buddy from high school. Our class is having a reunion this afternoon, everyone’s coming, you…”

“Good buddy, are you really my high school friend?”

“Of course, absolutely.”

Bullshit. Li Yi never even went to high school.

The Spirit Binder never expected his carefully crafted scam would be foiled by Li Yi’s lack of education.

“So, can you finally pay back the ten thousand you owe me?” Li Yi sent back with a cold laugh.

If you want me to show up, you have to pay an appearance fee.

The other side was stunned. How was he supposed to smooth this over? If this went on, he’d have to pay out of pocket.

“Don’t panic, keep going. The organization will cover the cost.”

The Captain beside him couldn’t stand it anymore and quickly stepped up, signaling that the Spirit Bureau would reimburse the mission funds.

As long as they could lure Li Yi to their ambush site, it would all be worth it.

With Master Chen’s favor, what’s ten thousand? Just a drizzle.

The other side actually transferred ten thousand yuan to Li Yi.

To kill Li Yi, these people were really going all out.

Without hesitation, Li Yi accepted the red packet, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

“Old Wang, you’re the only one among our classmates who actually paid me back.

But I still don’t want to go, because the others owe me money and haven’t paid it back for ages.”

Li Yi acted very helpless.

“We’re all old classmates, I don’t care anymore. I’ll just treat this money as feeding a dog, not planning to get it back.

But if you want me to eat with a bunch of deadbeats who won’t pay their debts, forget it.”

Li Yi’s attitude was firm and righteous, so much so that even Zhang Na was stunned-this Prefect was truly… unique.

What does their debt to you have to do with me? The Spirit Binder on the other end was furious, slamming the table.

What more do you want?

I’ve called you brother, paid you back, even played the grandson-now you want me to find the others to pay you back too?

A man can be killed but not humiliated, even a Buddha has limits.

“Come on, Brother Li, all the brothers really miss you.

Actually, this reunion is just to pay you back. As long as you come, you’ll get your money.”

Though he was already fed up with Li Yi, under the Captain’s pressure, he had to give in.

After all, the organization would reimburse him. It wasn’t his money, so why worry?

The Spirit Binder forced a smile.

Li Yi decided not to push his luck, knowing he couldn’t squeeze any more money out of this guy.

“Alright, this afternoon, let’s meet in the suburbs.”

Seeing Li Yi’s reply, the other side finally breathed a sigh of relief. They’d finally lured him out.

“By the way, Brother Li, it’s been so long-why does everyone owe you so much money, anyway?”

He was curious. What could have happened for a whole class to owe one person money?

“Sigh, that year after graduation, you all went to a foot massage parlor outside school behind my back and got scammed by prostitutes. As your good buddy, could I just stand by and watch? Of course I brought a bag full of cash to bail you all out.”
“Wang, you were the wildest back then-you picked two big guys, left your brother Li Yi completely stunned.”

Li Yi hung up the phone, his tone tinged with nostalgia.

Who was on the other end?

An entire class got caught in a honey trap? Are you sure that foot massage parlor wasn’t called the Golden Triangle?

That honey trap gang was something else-over forty people from a single class, all under control. Didn’t any of them think to fight back?

For some reason, this Spirit Binder couldn’t shake the feeling he was being strung along.

Still, a mission was a mission. All they had to do was wait for Li Yi to show up at the assigned location, and then they’d swarm him and take him down.

A cold glint flashed in his eyes-when the time came, he’d make the other side cough up every last cent they’d taken.

Trying to play dirty with brains like that?

What the Spirit Bureau didn’t realize was that Li Yi had already seen through their plot from the very beginning.

After hanging up, he was still ridiculing their terrible acting.

That afternoon, Li Yi arrived at the outskirts at the agreed-upon time.

The Spirit Bureau people had been waiting there for a while. They didn’t make a move, but called out, “Li Yi, over here, over here!”

Wang Ba, as always, was extremely enthusiastic, coming up and gripping Li Yi’s hand tightly.

“Wang Ba, long time no see.”

Wang Ba was momentarily speechless, but for the sake of the plan, he forced himself to nod, tears in his eyes.

All for the organization.

Their plan was to pose as Li Yi’s classmates, get him to let his guard down, and then strike at the right moment with a surprise attack.

Thinking of this, a silly grin crept onto Wang Ba’s face.

When the time came, he’d make this guy kneel on the ground and shout ten times, ‘I am Wang Ba.’

Wait, wasn’t he actually Wang Ba?

“Li Yi…”

The others also chimed in, greeting Li Yi.

Li Yi nodded with a smile, puffed out his chest like a leader, held his head high, and strode through the crowd as if he were a leader on an inspection tour among the people.

For a moment, even these Spirit Binders from the Spirit Bureau were thrown off by his presence.

“Li Yi, we’ve been waiting a while. Let’s get going.”

There was a Travel Car parked by the roadside-it seemed they planned to lure Li Yi deep into the mountains before making their move.

“You all go ahead and drive. I’ll follow behind,” Li Yi said, gesturing to his Lamborghini parked behind him.

All the Spirit Binders were dumbfounded-where did this bastard get so much money? Their carefully laid plans were instantly thrown into disarray.

Everyone turned to the only one who could make the call-the Captain.

But the Captain was a schemer.

“It’s been ages since we classmates got together. Let’s all ride in one car. Our Travel Car is roomy enough for everyone.”

At first glance, it sounded reasonable.

But Li Yi already knew about their plot, so it was riddled with flaws. If old classmates wanted to catch up, a few extra minutes wouldn’t matter.

They were so eager for him to get in their car-there must be something planned inside.

Trying to set up Li Yi? No way.

“No thanks, I’m allergic to cars worth less than ten million. If I ride in anything else, I start coughing. I have to drive my Lamborghini.”

Li Yi declined modestly, making all the Spirit Binders curse inwardly.

Seriously, does this guy even hear himself?

Allergic to cars under ten million? So your baby stroller must have cost ten million too?

Adapt and counter-being a seasoned schemer, the Captain came up with another plan, sending a Female Team Member with good looks to approach Li Yi.

The Female Team Member, wearing a Slit Cheongsam that perfectly showcased her curves, sashayed gracefully over to Li Yi’s luxury car.

“Li Yi, all the seats are taken. Can I squeeze in with you?”

She tucked her hair behind her ear, giving him a look brimming with charm.

[A stranger ‘big sister’ wants to sit in your passenger seat. You decide…]

[Option 1: Boys should protect themselves when out and about-refuse directly. Reward: +1 Skill Point.]

[Option 2: Let such a beautiful sister ride next to you. Reward: +1 Skill Point.]

[Option 3: No seat? Then run behind the car. Reward: +10 Skill Points.]

“Probably not a good idea, I don’t think there’s any space left in my car.”

“Why don’t… you run behind us?”

Li Yi looked regretfully at the water bottle sitting on his passenger seat.

Ten Skill Points are still Skill Points-Li Yi wasn’t about to pass up any chance to get stronger.

No space? You could just move the bottle!

Li Yi’s lame excuse made the Female Team Member’s temple twitch. Steel-hearted straight guy-no wonder he’s destined to be single for life.

Finally, the crafty Captain spoke up, telling the Female Team Member there was room if everyone squeezed a bit.

But Li Yi’s ‘steel straight man’ persona was set-no one dared to try flirting with him again.

After that scene…

It was painfully awkward…

The Female Team Member almost wanted to abandon the mission and just take action on the spot.

Is this guy even human?
