chapter 1
I was wrapped up tightly, with only my eyes showing.
Suddenly, someone blocked my way.
“Hello, I’m a blogger who helps people fulfill their wishes. Can I interview you?”
This was my third month after leaving the industry.
I thought I had been recognized by a paparazzo and quickly waved my hand to refuse.
But the person in front of me kept trying to persuade me: “Do you have any wishes that haven’t come true? I can help you, and I won’t charge you.”
I turned to leave, but suddenly heard her chasing after me, showing me her phone screen. “I’m not a scammer, I have a short video account. If you don’t believe me, take a look.”
I thought she was quite rude, but everything she said was true.
She was obviously a rookie blogger, with pitifully few videos and barely any views.
Seeing her sincere face, I suddenly thought of myself when I first entered the entertainment industry.
Back then, I was full of drive, but kept running into obstacles.
I suddenly felt a pang of sympathy: “What kind of wishes can you help me fulfill?”
This silly girl just scratched her head: “That depends on what your wish is. To be honest, you’re the seventeenth person I’ve asked today. None of them believed me. For example, is there someone you want to meet, somewhere you want to go? Tell me your story, and I’ll help you arrange it.”
I teased her a bit, but was afraid of scaring her.
“Then, if I want you to help me record the last moments of my life, would you be willing?
“On the condition that, before I die, none of these videos can be posted.
“If I don’t end up dying, then these videos are void. Do you dare to take that bet?”
