Nie Feng was in a car accident a month ago, and it’s only in the past few days that he’s regained consciousness.

Probably to avoid affecting Erfeng Technology’s stock price, the news of his accident was kept completely under wraps. I suppose that if he hadn’t had some minor complications, his chief assistant wouldn’t have called me to tell me about the accident at all.

He had the accident on the night I brought up divorce with him.

Of course, the accident wasn’t caused by him being distracted after hearing about the divorce. That night, it was pouring rain in B City. He had just finished a meeting in Florence and rushed back to China overnight, hoping to make it in time for Gu Xiaoyan’s birthday before midnight.

On that rainy night, he collided with a large coach/bus driven by a fatigued driver who ran a red light.

How ironic.

It wasn’t until Nie Feng woke up after surgery that his assistant called me.

Because Nie Feng’s memory was stuck eight years ago-he didn’t recognize anyone around him.

Eight years ago, Gu Xiaoyan hadn’t appeared in his life yet.

In his memory, there was only me.

Nie Feng has always been a clever man: calm and meticulous. Even in such a chaotic situation, he was able to quickly accept his current circumstances and the basic state of the company.

But there was one thing he simply couldn’t believe.

He couldn’t believe that he would fall in love with Gu Xiaoyan, or that he would want to divorce me.

His trusted company aides and Gu Xiaoyan tried to convince him with countless details of their life together, but he refused to believe it and insisted on seeing me.

They had no other choice, so they called me to tell me about Nie Feng’s accident.

That brought me to the hospital room, presented before Nie Feng as if I were evidence that the marriage had long been a mere formality.

They hoped this would convince Nie Feng that this really wasn’t eight years ago.

Times have changed; it’s already eight years later.

In all the tiny details of the eight years he’d forgotten, there was no mutual affection between us-only mutual resentment.

As for how he would believe and accept it, that was his own business.
