Over time, the Soul-Sealing Array can accumulate into a Yin Curse. But the Jiang Family is a large household, and judging by their features, they’re all blessed with prosperity and good fortune. At first, the Yin Curse is weak and can’t hurt anyone; it just causes nightmares.

Madam Jiang suffered through nightmares for half a month before she managed to find me.

Add to that the fact that we’re now in the Shen Year Shen Month, and the trapped soul in the Jiang Family died in Shen Month too-its power had surged. This just happened to coincide with Jiang Keke’s Xun Position Moon Wane, which left her vulnerable.

“If it was a normal injury, it’d be easy to deal with. But now Jiang Keke has miscarried, and the Yin Curse has devoured her Yin spirit. That’s not a regular Yin Curse anymore.”

Jiang Haoyan gulped nervously. “If it’s not a regular Yin Curse, then what is it?”

“It’s a Deadly Curse. Once a Deadly Curse has formed, someone will die before the Zi Hour.”

All four members of the Jiang Family screamed, clinging to each other. Jiang Keke was on the verge of tears.

“Then why are we still here? Let’s pack our things and go hide at my husband’s place!”

I shook my head.

“You can’t escape it. It’s been too long; the Evil Energy has already taken root in all of you. If you leave, the other Jiang Family members outside will be put in danger too.

“It’s better if everyone stays here together. When the Deadly Curse strikes, it’ll possess someone from the Jiang Family. Then we can pull the possessed one out-I know how to handle it.

“After dinner, send all the students downstairs home. Dismiss every servant too. There can’t be any outsiders left in the Jiang Family.”

After giving my instructions, I took the Luopan out of my bag, planning to head downstairs and try to vent some of the energy gathered by the Soul-Sealing Array. Judging by the situation, the Deadly Curse was already formed, so draining some of the energy wouldn’t help much. But it’s better than nothing-anything to weaken the Deadly Curse’s strength, even a little.

I reached the staircase and noticed that President Jiang was following right on my heels, practically glued to my back.

“President Jiang, what are you doing?”

President Jiang’s face was deadly serious.
