“I thought you wouldn’t come tonight. Aren’t you bold-aren’t you afraid she’ll find out?”

A woman’s voice came from the second bedroom.

My heart clenched sharply.

Even my breathing became difficult.

was the voice of Lin Ying, the postpartum nanny.

Lin Ying was the nanny Ren Mingyang chose for me.
