Chapter 9

After a whole night of passion, Jiang Ke curled up in my arms like a kitten and fell into a deep sleep.

I kissed her moist lips, feeling satisfied, and closed my eyes.

But I didn’t fall asleep; my mind was busy calculating.

Tomorrow, I still have to put on a big show. I must make Meng Xin apologize to me and promise never to snoop through my phone again.

I need to give her a warning.

And, to put Meng Xin’s mind completely at ease,

I have to talk to Jiang Ke and tell her that for the next two months, we can’t be in contact.

This dedicated phone also needs to be moved somewhere else, not carried with me anymore.

Just in case.

Also, during these two months of no contact with Jiang Ke, I must work diligently to make Meng Xin pregnant.

Once she’s pregnant, Meng Xin won’t have the energy to care about what I’m doing.

A child will be enough to keep her busy.

They were shouting something about the fire department?

The knocking grew louder and louder, unbearably irritating.

My arm felt light as Jiang Ke mumbled, got up, and went to open the door.

But immediately, there was a loud smack, followed by a startled scream.

A man roared angrily, “Jiang Ke, you fucking bitch, how dare you cheat on me?”
