After my wife said those words, every muscle in my body tensed up.

Panicking, I tried to act calm. I pinched her cheek and teased her.

“Tsk tsk, what’s this about? Don’t you trust your husband?”

My wife blinked, her eagle-like gaze fixed on my face, watching for any change in my expression.

“Of course I trust you. Why wouldn’t I trust you?”

If she trusts me, why is she still gripping her phone so tightly?

Quick as lightning, I pushed her down onto the sofa and used my secret weapon.

“Baby, why do you smell so good today? Come give your husband a kiss.”

But my wife didn’t get lost in my tenderness. Instead, she sneered and shoved me away.

“What’s going on? Why are you acting so weird?”

I’m acting weird?

She’s the one acting weird, isn’t she?

Why can’t we just enjoy our life? What’s with all this drama?

Who spends their days trying to check their husband’s phone for no reason?

If one trick doesn’t work, try another. I put my arm around her shoulders and complained pitifully.

“What’s wrong? Is it because I’ve been busy with work lately and neglected my baby? I’m sorry, it’s all my fault. I apologize, I admit my mistake, your husband deserves to be punished.”

Taking advantage of her eyes suddenly turning red for some reason, I managed to grab the phone.

That was close.

But just then, WeChat chimed.

She instantly tightened her grip on the phone. The warmth in her eyes was gone, replaced by the look of a soldier facing the enemy, ready to fight to the death.

My heart raced as I lunged to snatch the phone back.

But it was too late.

She had already curled up on the sofa and unlocked the phone.

I really regretted not deleting her fingerprint.

A wave of panic surged inside me.
