Dawn was just breaking.

Hungover, I could barely turn over in bed, my temples still throbbing painfully.

My best friend’s bag was left at my place.

She was the one who helped me home last night.

Struggling to get up, I immediately poured myself a glass of warm honey water.

A small booklet fell from the bookshelf with a soft “thud.”

I bent down to pick it up and found it was a high school yearbook, so I flipped it open absentmindedly.

Xu Mo’s name stood out before my eyes.

I stared at the name, trying to dredge up memories of him from last night.

It was strange-I distinctly remembered that Xu Mo came from a well-off family in high school. His father was even the richest man in town, if I recall correctly.

But after four years apart, how did he end up in this line of work?

Did something happen to his family, or did his father go bankrupt and urgently need money?

How could the school heartthrob, once admired by all, fall from grace and become a male model at the KTV Club, available for anyone to choose?

The key point is, he was my first love.

Since he’s already working in this field, why was he still so shy, sneaking away last night?

The more I thought about it, the more curious I became. I immediately called a familiar classmate to ask about his recent situation.

“Hello, Xiaolin, how’s Xu Mo doing lately?”

“Xu Mo? Why are you suddenly asking about him? We barely kept in touch after graduation, and then he just disappeared completely.”

I dialed another number, but the person said, “I’m not really sure about the details. You’d better ask someone else.”

But the next few calls all yielded similar answers:

“I don’t know either. He just suddenly lost contact.”

“Maybe he’s gone abroad to enjoy life.”

“No idea. He vanished like he evaporated from the world, didn’t even say goodbye.”

Strange. Why does no one know where he went?
