He looked aggrieved and pathetic.
He was questioning why I had scolded him like that in front of everyone earlier that day.
It was honestly the first time I had ever seen such an expression on Cheng Yang’s face, and for a moment, I was at a total loss.
Finally, I stammered out a response: “Didn’t you say you didn’t want everyone to know we were dating? Why are you blaming me now?”
As soon as the words left my mouth, I realized something was wrong. He and I were dating?!
Wait a second, this dialogue was exactly the same as what I had written in my novel before going to bed!
I looked around at the setting; it was a carbon copy of the description in my story.
Then it hit me.
It was a case of “thinking by day, dreaming by night.”
In that case, the next step should be me grabbing Cheng Yang’s hand and asking, “Then how do you want me to make it up to you?”
Then Cheng Yang would pull me over, pin me down on the table with his hands on either side of my waist, lean down, and… hold me tight.
I’m sorry, but since I had just started indulging in these fantasies and writing the novel, I didn’t dare make the content too explicit.
But for me, this was enough.
The person who had been at odds with me all day was now pathetically begging me for a hug and comfort-how could that not be satisfying?!
At the thought, I could hardly suppress the restless urge stirring within me.
Everything unfolded exactly as I had anticipated. Like an NPC following a script, I delivered that flirtatious line. Then, I was pulled forward by a sudden force as Cheng Yang leaned in close.
I held my breath in anticipation.
He held me so tightly I felt like I was suffocating.
Cheng Yang buried his head in the crook of my neck, his warm breath fanning against my skin and sending a wave of goosebumps down my spine.
This was a bit too intense.
But what if I wanted it to be even more intense?
I turned my head, my lips searching for his face, wanting to press against him. But just as I was about to make contact…
